Rated #14 for all Kuala Lumpur hotels
An excellent hotel in which the friendly staff could not have been more helpful. Although not in the "golden triangle" it is ideally situated for the towers, the monorail and the tourist info centre. The concierge and staff were more than happy to deal with any request. As for the breakfasts, you will not find a better selection of food anywhere, believe me. It is fair to say that as a family we thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay at this hotel. If you are looking for that little bit extra without paying through the nose for it, don't look any further just book now at the Renaissance East Wing...

Room : We stayed at West wing room (I thought it was KL tower view, but it wasn't.) I should have requested in advance.......

We stayed in the East wing. Overall the experience was excelent, but some of the room items needs renovation esp the bathrooms. The bath tub looked too old. The telephone set was in pathetic condition. The breakfast was good but the menu never changed for the whole week. There must be some change in the dishes. One of the surprise was that the hotel charged me for dialing the TOLL FREE numbers which are usually free in other hotels/places.

When we arrived at the hotel the room we were given had a terrbible smell, and the carpet was damp. This was not the start to the holiday that we had wanted, however the staff were excellent, providing us with a new and much better room immediatley. They also follwed up with is the next day to make sure we were happy with the new room. The location of this hotel and the staff really made this a pleasant stay for us and the family had a fantastic holiday!

The hotel staff were all very friendly and accomodating.I requested for a room with a view at the last minute, and they were able to accomodate me.We always stay at Renaissance Makati and love their facilities, that's why I thought the best choice was to stay here. Although the design of the room and size was worth the money, they could use a little refurbishing-the lamps were dirty and old.Even the shower curtain was greying. The toiletries provided didnt include a toothbrush or shaving set. You have to pay for it. They didnt provide a bath robe. And I would expect that a five star hotel would keep their rooms in good condition.Nevertheless, the bed was very comfortable, and in the end that's what matters. When travelling, it's hard to find a hotel that feels like home and renaissance hotel was able to achieve that.

Very well located between monorail 5 minutes away & KLCC 10 minutes away walking - our room at 15th floor East Wing was facing the Petronas twin towers, good value for money, good breakfast buffet for all taste, carpet a bit tired in our room & old fashioned CRT tv instead of LCD. Nothing to complain about really considering the below USD 100 price per double room breakfast included.

Firstly, the Hotel bedroom structure is in such a way that the Holy Kablah is to opposite side of your head, meaning your legs are facing the Kabaa, we requested the hotel for change in room, but the same problem in other rooms as well. Secondly, rooms were stinking of cigerttes. Thirdly, the hotel resturant are way over priced, we paid like for 2 burgers and a medium pizza almost RM200++, in this trip we stayed in 4 different hotels, but i must say that this was the worst of all the other 3. even in 5 Star property we stayed in, we did not paid such a huge bill for a meal. ridicolus.

The hotel was excellent good position , tourist information and hop on off bus just over the road to the left. Walking distance to twin tower and KL tower. Easy access to monorail .We booked beluxe room west wing i think we had an executive room. It was large clean and very well equiped. The beds were the most comfortable we have had. Service very good breakfast excellent. We had dinner at the buffet east wing which was excellent. There is a buffet in both east and west wing and several other restaurants. On arrival the taxi from airpport is purchased at the taxi desk in arrivals set price for each zone 67 rengitt however on return if you book through the hotel you will get a very smart taxi but pay 110. The train is worth considering especially if it is a busy traffic time 28 minutes and 35 rengitt per person. On return you can check in plus baggage at the central station very easy and not busy at all when we were there. This can mean a later departure from the hotel. It looked very easy well sign posted . We departed early Sunday morning so very little traffic and 50 minutes to the airport. If you fancy dinner up KL tower ask the hotel to book it that is the best way of getting in. If I booked again I would stay longer in KL take a slower pace do less sight seeing each day and return to the hotel to swin and relax it has a great pool. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others it was fantastic value and this booking was was great I would also use the

The hotel is situated next to the Bt Nanas monorail station and within walking distance to KLCC (10 mins) so moving around is very convenient. We like the hotel facilities especially the gym, swimming pool , steam room and sauna. They are well maintained. Excellent for leisure travellers who just want a good hotel stay with minimum hassle in moving around KLCC and Bt Bintang (just a few stops away). We have come back to this hotel 3 times within 8 mths because of its value for money rates and good facilities.

I have stayed at this hotel in past and found it to very good, but this time I was given smoking room which had many burns in the carpet and furniture wall paper was also peeling from walls. I asked for non smoking room which was better and had good view of KL tower but had twin beds.
This hotel has one of the best breakfasts of the hotels I have stayed at in SE Asia.

It was my first time staying in this hotel and the overall experience was quite positive. I was booked on deluxe room at west wing but got ungraded to junior suite as deluxe rooms were all full, a very good start for my leisure trip! The outdoor swimming pool was in resort style and quite big indeed. The buffet breakfast was not bad, but not quit impressive I must say. In terms of location, it's just 2 minutes away from mono-rail and close to KL Tower but 10 minutes from KLCC, acceptable in general. Close to bars and clubs too. The staff were nice in general, but the service level was definitely not best in class. All in all, a value for money deal.

A superb hotel with lavish decor, and for the price you cant fault it. Rooms are well appointed, with excellent bedding (Duck feather duvets and pillows) affording a great nights sleep. It is located 100 meters next to the Metro station which interconnects to the KLIA train. Easy walking distance to the Twin Towers (about 5 minutes) Breakfast can get very busy, so avoid going for breakfast near the end of the sitting or you might have to queue for a table. Apart from that; top marks.

An impressive looking hotel lobby and piano playing bar to boot. Room was lovel, clean, spacious, and the bed was gorgeous; although my wife and I did stay in the executive deluxe, I'm not sure if all beds are as nice. The fitness centre was superb and it's right next to the Monorail and Tourism Centre. Helped us to recover from jet-lag. Well worth it.

Just got back from our fifth stay in the Renaissance and had a truly wonderful stay like usual. The quality of the food is outstanding and they still manage to improve it from one stay to the other. The Hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the Twin Tower and KLCC shoping mall. Close to the monorail station "Bukit Nanas". We normally stay in 5 star properties, travel 3 times a year so we're pretty hard to please, we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The hotel was positioned right in the heart of the city, a 5 minute walk to the Petronas Twin Towers and one minute away from the Hard Rock Cafe. From the East Wing, half of the rooms will have a view of the twin towers and from the West Wing, half of the rooms will have a view of the KL Tower.
The hotel is a 45-minute taxi ride from KLIA and if you book your taxi at the desk as you exit the customs hall, you won't get fleeced by one of the many hawkers offering to drive you into KL for twice the price. A taxi car will cost you around RM65 and a taxi shuttle will cost RM90. The hotel concierge desk are only too happy to arrange your return transport to the airport and will source a reliable operator for a fair price.
We stayed in the West Wing, which was the more luxurious of the two wings. It was beautifully set out and the hotel had great facilities. The pool was wonderful and big and the food in the restaurants was world class. The staff were excellent, very professional and they all went out of their way to go above and beyond the call of duty.
The room, whilst nicely proportioned, could have been a bit cleaner. The carpet was dirty in the corners and around the edges.
We also found that the price of drinks at the hotel was extortionate. For example, a can of coke (or similar) in the local shop cost RM1.70. In the hotel, the same can cost RM14, eight times the retail price! This can become very expensive if ordering from the poolside bar. By comparison, a pint of bee

The hotel location is strategic to tourist places within and out KL. The food service is good but the customer service from the chek in desk needs a lot of improvement. They should be more pleasant and appealing to guests like they smile and more courteous. The hotel should have more materials to orient or teach foreigners the convenient way to go to tourist areas. The toiletries are limited. My experience was, one day toiletries supply were not given, this made me think that toiletries are limited because it is a budget package and the hotel should spell this out to us.It was addressed after I called their attention. But the offense is done, it had given us already the impression that hotel may have been mean to us. Additionally, I am am a world perk member, but have never been given points because the staff's explanation was I did not pay them directly but thru HotelTravel, thus no points should be given to me.

Our room was on the 4 floor that’s just in front of the pool. So we had nice view and a balcony where we could sit and oversee the pool. But i had a strange feeling walking into the pool itself because water in it was very cold. And i thought that it can freeze a little. I liked service at the hotel, especially that my room was cleaned twice a day. We had breakfast at the different wings of the hotel and it differs jusr a little but not principly. So i’d rate the hotel 4 from 5!

The pool together with the poolside restaurant lifts this hotel above the others in the area. Also the service is fantastic at all levels. Rooms need a bit of refurbishment but have the quietest air conditioning I have ever experienced. At all levels were the staff he;pful anf firndly from porterage, reception, restaurant, cleaners etc. 10 minutes walk from KLCC, 2 minutes form monorail, 2 minutes from LRT right next to the Tourist office.
For the quality of the hotel, the service etc this hotel was unbelievable good value for money. Have stayed here now 3 times and have also stayed at the Concorde, Mandarin Oriental and the Micasa. The pool and good value makes it my preferred choice.

We have been three times in this hotel and we enjoy very much. The hotel is near "Petronas twin towers". The staff is really very kind, and the breakfast is great. The room is very clean and if you are lucky can enjoy a wonderful view of "petronas" from your room. The best deal! We like very much this hotel and we recomend for a long or short visit to Kuala Lumpur.

A terrific deal for the money. I can't think of another Renaissance location where you could get a room at this price. Definitely try the dinner buffet - and the chocolate fountain! The breakfast was delicious and considering it was worth USD 15 per person, the total cost of the room is piddly. Line up early to get tickets to the Petronas Towers. We arrived there at 8:10 and got tickets for the 9:15 am slot. The hotel is very close to the monorail - a 5-7 minute walk. A little further to the metro by another 5 minutes or so. There aren't very many actual restaurants right in the vicinity of the hotel - the Petronas Towers area (10 minutes by foot) are the closest. The hotel is on one side of a very busy street and there was no convenient (or safe) way to cross the street - just gotta make a sprint for it. The pool is beautiful and the steam/sauna rooms are great. There is only one tennis court set up and it's on artificial turf. The setting is nice, though, as it's recessed and surrounded by tall buildings.

This hotel was 3-4 minute walk from a monorail station, which was cheap and easy to use. The room was of a very high quality as was the bathroom. The swimming pool is one of the best aspects and the rooms face either the poolside or the petronas twin towers. The healthclub is satisfactory and the massage facilities are acceptable but not of the highest standard. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of East and Western foods, but the breakfast staff weren't as nice as in other hotels I have been to. There is live music most nights which was OK. It is family friendly but also good for honey-mooners and business people etc. with mainly western clients. I would be happy to stay here again at this price.

Stayed at the New World Wing. The room was rather spacious with a couch and table. Cupboard was creaky and the furnishings does look a little run down. However, the bed was excellent as its very very comfortable. In addition, I was liked the idea of an accessory kit box that was provided. This accessory box included cotton wipes, a mini-sewing kit, nail buffer and shower cap. The buffet breakfast was one with a wide variety. The restaurant for the breakfast can be rather crowded and there are times when you have to queue for seats as the restaurant was full. The must try in this hotel is the swimming pool. This pool is like the largest pool you can get in a hotel. It gives you a great workout after all that food. The hotel is near to 2 LRT stations which are very very convenient for moving around. Overall the stay at this hotel was satisfactory.

Rooms excellent for the price and a terrific breakfast thrown in. Location is excellent (only a couple mins from KLCC) but the oneway road system in KLCC made it quite difficult to get into the hotel..!!!

Good location 2 minutes from BUKIT NANAS LRT station and hard rock cafe also close to the twin towers and the telecom viewing tower. Down side they have started building a high rise next door so the pool is over looked by building site, But a lovely large swimming pool very quiet and clean hotel - would stop there again.

Very poor housekeeping - my room was not actually cleaned for 4 days - only bed linen changed and towels replaced. Bins were not emptied, glasses/empty containers/bottles not cleared away, shoes remained in the basked unpolished, I had to chase the laundry service after my suit was not returned after 3 days. The large bottle of water in my room (which I was supposed to pay for, not one of the complimentaries) was already open and had been filled from the tap! Not very impressive. The Reception staff and Concierge were excellent, however, as were the leisure facilities and location.

I was so impressed with the Renaissance - I would recommend it to anyone! I found the staff to be friendly & professional, the rooms were beautiful (especially the bathrooms) and the location was perfect - only a few minutes walk to the monorail & train stations. The whole Renaissance experience was luxurious & I will definately be back!

Very well located. However I could not believe I had to pay to park my car in the hotel (first time I experienced a hotel where guests also pay for parking). The High-Speed Internet connection in the room was good, but too "high-price" (very expensive for what it is). These are the only two things I did not like... but if you don't have a car and don't use internet, then this is your place to stay!

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on 5 or 6 occasions. We found the service to be average-poor. Our first time, the room we had in the New World Wing was nice. The second time, our room in the same wing was very run down. We requested another room, which was also in poor condition. We then switched to the Old World Wing, which was much nicer. If you can get a "bay window" room in the New World Wing, the rooms are nice and the view is excellent. Otherwise, we've found the standard rooms in the New World Wing to be in average-poor condition. Either go with the Old World, or a "bay view" room if possible. The location is great...close to the Twin Towers, and across the street from the mono-rail public transit system. Food is also good, and a large variety.

From the warm and welcoming greetings on arrival at the hotel very late at night I knew that the hotel would fulfill my needs. I found the meals value for money and when using the dining facilities for working meetings the staff were sensitive and ensured they did not interupt discussions.
The location was very central to business needs and also within easy distance to Petronas Towers etc.
The rooms provided the necessary requirements

Maybe I was just unlucky but the tv cabinet door was loose and the wash basin plug was jammed when I checked in. These were fixed very quickly but I didn't expect to find such problems on my arrival at a good hotel.
Location and facilities could hardly be better.

For its price, this hotel is truly worth it with its large swimming pool and its view of the Petronas twin towers from the hotel rooms. Location wise, it was good since right across it, is a tourist information center and the Monorail station that leads straight to the heart of the Golden Triangle. Would recommend this hotel to my friends
