This hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in around the world. The location is ideal, within a sort stroll to major shopping malls, restaruants and entertainment. The hotel itself was beautiful but it was the staff who made it truly excellent. Every member of staff we encountered was professional, friendly, helpful and interested in us as individuals. We chose this hotel as a place to unwind for a few days at the end of our holiday and we were not disappointed. In fact we will return next year for a longer visit. It is a hotel that is value for money. We feel comfortable and relax staying in the room. The room we had also gave us a good view of the streets and shopping centres. The breakfast spread is good and gives diners the variety of choices to choose from. My family definitely had a good time and we will stay there again during our next visit to Kuala Lumpur.

There is no doubt that the Grand Millennium is a comfortable hotel in a convenient location for the monorail station as well as the big shopping malls and the exclusive shops of Bukit Bintang.
The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have had, but on one morning when we had a late breakfast the lights in the restaurant were turned off at 10.40am, just 10 minutes after the time the buffet closed, and despite the fact that the restaurant was still half full and many people were still finishing their breakfast. This is positively rude treatment of their guests.
The number and variety of satellite TV channels was poor and the reception quality truly appalling. There is no excuse for this as the Malaysian Astro satellite TV service has a huge number of channels and provides perfect reception.
While most of the staff were friendly, some of the front counter reception staff were poorly trained and not very helpful.
Also, why is it that Internet access is available free of charge in coffee shops, book stores and even backpacker lodges throughout KL, but the Grand Millennium finds it necessary to charge an exhorbitant rate to go on-line?
This may be a Malaysian 5-Star hotel but it would be a 3 or 4 Star in Europe.

Check in staff were professional and welcoming and we were quickly shown to our room with a wonderful view of the busy Bintang Walk below. The room was very clean and well appointed, the king size bed luxuriously comfortable and the bathroom had every amenity one could possibly need, including a set of bathroom scales but at the end of my holiday I didn't want to know how much weight I had put on!! The restaurants offered a great range of dining experiences with the Buffet dinner at night being a highlight. There was a vast array of sea food including multi cultural dishes from around the world all beautifully presented and delicious. We spent a lazy afternoon basking in the sun and swimming in the beautiful tropical pool, located on the 3rd level. We will be looking for a spa, massage and general pampaering on our next visit. I recommend this hotel for its central location, very reasonable rates, excellent rooms and amenities, great food and truly wonderful staff. You will not be disappointed.

The newly renovated lobby is impressive. The staffs are also very polite and helpful. My family of 4 (My wife, I and 2 kids) stayed there for 4 nights and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The location of the hotel (right beside Pavilion shopping centre) makes food & shopping very convenient. The room size and furnishings are good and comfortable, nevertheless would be good improvement if they could upgrade the bathroom. The breakfast is acceptable, but the variety are not very wide (they seemed catered more for Arabian tourist).

This hotel was formerly the Regent. Hotel is undergoing renovations and seems to have had a change of staff since my last visit of many. Asked for smoking room or room overlooking pool, got newither. Then door keycard would not operate as they said we had only booked (through agent) for 2 days not three. They made us sign to pay for another day until they got confirmation from our agent. All was wekll, if they had read the voucher correctly there should not have been a problem. I have stayed at this hotel when it was regent many times but would definitely not stay again after the attitude of the receiption staff.

The hotel has great services and its in a good location. It is going through a rebuilding and entrance is now from some side doors with temporary reception. It would have been nice to know when booking it, it was unconvinient but you could live with it.

We're not sure if the reformation is going on with the old entrance. The lobby now being used is too small, and it's inconvenient to get to the evelator with the luggage from the lobby as there're several stairs.

The buffet breakfast could be better planned. Guests were still standing in line to get a seat. The room was acceptable but not the bathroom. There was ponding in the shower area and there was a decidedly dated look to the retsrooms.

All staff excelled themselves - very friendly. Bed was huge, the shape of the room gave you a fantastic view, withought being hindered by anyone else. Plenty people asking if you were OK, of if you needed a hand without being forceful. Everything you wanted was given to you. The only gripe was that the jaccuzzi was only switched on at 4pm, not before on demand. We were down in during the day, although all other things were on, the jaccuzzi was not, and that was what we wanted to use. Next to the momorail for ease of travel, within walking distance. The underpass to the opposite side of the road made walking to the shops very quick and easy. The underpass was well lit and nice pictures of the hotel on the walls. Staying on the 14th floor there was no noise from anywhere. There were many things goin on in th hotel while we were there, but there was no problems with that.

The room was furnished tastefully and with good quality furnishings. The staff made us very welcome and made booking in, simple and efficient. The breakfast was excellent, probable one of the best and we have stayed in several 5 star hotels. If returning I would definitely stay in this hotel again, there was nothing to find fault with.

It was much more below the standard of a five star hotel, flush tank of toilet was not working when I checked in, that was a surprise for me atleast for five star hotel, after making request it was fixed but despite that it required couple attempts to work. only the location was excellent, in breakfast offering mostly Malay dishes, and if one had not the requisite taste he has to rely on bread and butter. Room was again an average

Good location, clean and friendly, only used the pool area once, but very nice and relaxing.Good choice at Breakfast. My only advise to anyone going there would be to ask to see your room first. The view from our room was dissapointing we were on the 11 floor overlooking other builidng but below us was wich i can only discribes was a rubbish dump.

The service was superb; the staff were well trained, friendly and welcoming. We can particularly recommend afternoon tea in the lobby lounge - an old fashioned way of staving off the hunger pangs until dinner!

The Regent Hotel in Kuala Lumpur is extremely well located, convenient and easy to get to and from. As a first time traveller to KL I found the hotel to be a good deal. It met my business requirements and as well I was able to take in some of the sights and shopping opportunities all within easy access of the Regent. The restaurant and bar facilities were good and I even indulged in a spa treatment which was a real treat - professional pampering at its best.

I think the Regent is a lovely hotel & we really enjoyed our stay the staff were fantastic. We were there to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. I do wish though that we could have been informed about the building work though as it was noisey & not very attractive. We should have asked for another room but we arrived late at night after a very long journey & as we had already unpacked before opening the curtains we were really too tired to move all over again. The staff at reception were excellent, in paticular the concierge. We have booked this hotel for our 2 adult children to stay next year
