We were very disappointed with the service we received from one of the check in staff at reception. She was very rude, and arrogant. Apart from that she insisted that our booking was for two adults only, despite me telling her that we booked 2 rooms with 2 adults and 1 child in each room. We were first given a standard room by her and later when I asked to see the manager, he, very nicely apologised and gave us the deluxe room that we had paid for in advance. Really a traumatic experience, considering that my aged mum was with us on holiday from South Africa.

I was very disappointed with the service I received at the check in counter. The lady there was extremely impolite and agressive. Also we booked delux rooms and she said that they have no deluxe rooms available. When questions she insisted that we did NOT book deluxe rooms and also that we had booked for two adults per room only. Our booking clearly stated that we booked two rooms for two adults and 1 child per room!! But she was adament that we didn't. I had to call in the Manager, who eventually sorted things out for us. My family was very disappointed at this 'welcome' we got from the reception personnell. I am extremely unhappy at the way we were treated, considering that I use this hotel whenever I am in Kuala Lumpur and this was the first time we were so embarrassed. Also my mum was down on holiday with us from South Africa and she felt vwey awkward.

During our stay most of the lights in the room did not work and they were not able to fix it. Although the two of us stayed in a double room, there was only one bathrobe, one pair of slippers and towels for one. We found the room shabby and in need of refurbishment. However, they serve a very good breakfast and the location is OK (near the Underground).

Hotel is very good value for money although it's not the Mandarin Oriental (which is in fact much more expensive). Clean rooms (although a bit aged), friendly people and conviently located (close to public transport).
