Rated #10 for all Kuala Lumpur hotels
Fantastic hotel, more than what I expected it to be. 5 mins walk away from the Menara KL (tower), which is right next to the hotel and everything else is so close. The KLCC is walking distance away, but taxis and public transport is readily available. The rooms are very large with a kitchenette and dining area and a very large bathroom. The room we stayed in also had a nice view. The award winning Luna bar is on the roof which is built around the hotel pool and very near the impressive gym facility. We were surprised by how nice the Luna bar was during the night with a very nice atmosphe...

It was actually our 2nd visit to this Hotel! They had never fail us! Service, security, food, facilities and of course the cozy huge room with complimentary chocolates on the bed everytime they made up the rooms. Little things that make our day! We had no problem getting taxi although it is not located along the main street. The clean and comfortable MPV taxi will also be on their standby at the hotel entrance. I understand that these taxis cover their pessengers with insurance too! Anyway, try it yourself to believe it!!! Thumb-Up!!!

Pro: Rooms are exceptionally large, but poorly decorated. The Lunar bar at the roof top is very attractive.Cons: Noise from the clubs below can be heard throughout the night. Breakfast room is very small and guests have to queue for a table. And the breakfast buffet is very poor too, for a 4 star Malaysian hotel standard.

The Hotel is less than a kilometer walk to klcc, petronas and suria...but its exactly in front of Menara (KL) Tower. Rooms are so huge. they have luna bar which the pool is located , open from 7 am-7pm. All Staffs are friendly. Superb!. they are very informative when you ask directions.
If you want shopping and party at night, dont go for this Hotel, its really quite a walk. but if you wish to have a calm stay in KL. I strongly suggest this. By the way, if you want to have city tour ( take KL hop in hop off) their 3rd station is located in from of menara tower..just few steps from the hotel. Great, in 2.5 hours you can view the major tourist spots in KL.

Everything is fine with hotel as its close to all major shopping malls as well as the petronas twin towers. Just one thing that while going back to the hotel after some entertainment it is little tough to go uphill, so i would suggest the hotel have an escalator or a buggy available.

The stay with this hotel was excellent. The room, the service, the friendleness of the staff, the real effort to help me and my family, it all was just great. But especially, the location was simply superb. I think the Regency is one of the greatly located hotels in Kuala Lumpur, right in the middle of KL Tower (just below of it) and the Twin Towers. One thing that might be a bit of sliding down the feel could be breakfast buffet. It is OK with the price, and yet the selection of meal is limited. The main meal items are always the same, no changes in it. So that was a bit down point. Otherwise, the hotel is just great pleasure in stay. I would recommend it to anyone who seeks the excellence in quality within the affordable budget.

The hotel is in a very convenient location for business and leisure purposes. The rooms are very spacious and facilities good for a travelling businessman. Getting a taxi at times proved to be a bit of a problem but walking is not so bad as long as it is not raining. Also the hotel business centre closes very early each day which is not ideal. However, I would definitely stay again and have no problem recommending this hotel.

The hotel was better than we expected, given that we paid a really low price for staying there. It's right beside KL tower, and is not amid the noise of the city, despite being really close to the heart of the city. Would love to stay there again.

Hotel suite is excellent. Spacious and very clean room and bathroom. Buffet breakfast was very limited in choices. We have the same breakfast for the 4 days that our family stayed in the hotel. There is no pool for the children. Very close and walking distance to the free shuttle serivce to Kuala Lumpur tower. But the hotel itself takes you a lot of walking if you want to roam around especially if you want to go to Bukit Bintang. Hotel taxis were very expensive, we have to walk and go down the road to hire taxis. Very big room, psacious and clean.
They hotel should provide swimming pool for kids. Room cleaning everyday is excellent. They replenished our mineral waters everyday. Buffet breakfast is very limited in choices. Not very close to establishments. Hotel taxis are very exepnsive, minimum charge is 35MYR. Take a short walk outside and you'll find cheap taxis.

I put 'poor' for facilities and beverage outlets as the pool was closed to residents and the bar denied me access on the second day as I was wearing shorts (Sundays are fine apparently). Given the temperature in KL and the fact it is a 'chill out lounge' they should allow guests to wear smart shorts in the bar area. I could understand it if they were casual or scruffy shorts but I was wearing beige D & G desinger shorts. If the policy doesn't change I would stay somewhere else in future - there was no negotiating and the waiter wouldn't call the manager so we could speak - business suicide if you want Western customers and very poor practise.

We were disappointed with the location of the hotel because online it appeared to be really close to the Shangrala Hotel where our friends were staying...it was an effort walking back and forth in the heat. It was also disappointing that we "thought" we had reserved a room with a double bed and a single for our granddaughter and got a room with a king bed instead. We were told to bring in an extra bed for her would cost more and we couldn't afford more in our budget so she slept with us. (that made her happy at least!) The breakfast buffet was excellent offering a wide variety of foods. The room was large and very comfortable. They were renovating the pool when we were there and provided a shuttle to a 4' deep pool on the other side of town; it would have been nice to have gone to one of the hotels in walking distance instead of having to travel through all the traffic for a good 30mins. each way. If we had known the pool wasn't available, we would have cancelled our reservations there ahead of time since that was one of the reasons we chose the Pacific Regency.

The room was spacious with lots of storagge closets and even extra storage shelves in the bathroom! Everything was clean and good repair - in the room. Unfortunately the pool and some other facilities were being renovated and therefore not open when I was there. The alternative pool arrangements, at another location, were not satisfactory. The breakfasts were the best I've had in a hotel in a long time! I would definitely choose this hotel again.

The room was great value for money. I attended a conference at the Shangri La next door, had twice as much room in my room than colleagues staying elsewhere and it was only 10 minutes walk from the Twin Towers Mall. I will certainly stay there again when I return to Kuala Lumpur. Large, clean well appointed room with free wireless! Free Wireless, extensive buffet breakfast. Excellent Sevice . Any queries I had were quickly dealt with. Room service was prompt and reasonably priced. Breakfast and room service good. Very clean. A high standard in both room, bathroom and hotel. For both business travelers and families this hotel is in a good location and well priced with excellent facilities. Superb. Public transport nearby and taxis easily available. Short walk to Twin Towers Mall. A few restaurants nearby and a street of simple local restaurants where my colleague and I had substantial meal for 15 ring. Public transport nearby and taxis easily available.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly. The breakfast menu was more or less the same for the two breakfasts we had at the restaurant at the 23rd floor, but so what? We (3 adults) stayed in 2 one bedroom connecting suites, which were clean, very spacious, especially the bathrooms which had a separate bath and shower. Buffet breakfast was fresh & good quality, although not as much of an extensive range as other hotels we've stayed at. The 24 hour self service laundrette was great! View from rooftop Luna bar & pool is great. Located on a quieter street in the city - good to be close to, but not in the very busy areas. The closest monorail is about 10-15 min walk, so may be a bit far for some - no problem for us, or if you want to take a taxi (always one outside). Just didn't have enough time to make use of all the hotel facilities, but will stay again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The deluxe room is spacious, with a huge bathroom, coffee table and kitchenette with dining table. The room is quite bare in terms of decoration, so it does feel impersonal. Room service is quite prompt. Breakfast has limited variety. Nice and spacious gym. Luna bar is quite nice although the music played could do with some updating. Didn't try the swimming pool but it is big by hotels standards. The lady server at the Olive lounge at night seems rather rude. Apart from her, the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Tried the foot reflexology at the massage centre in the hotel - it was fantastic! One of the best I've been to. A couple of things to note - while the concierge tries their best to get a taxi, they often are not able to get a taxi for us - seems like the taxi provider they use is not very accessible. Another thing to note is that this place is quite some walking distance from the LRT. So, it can be quite tiring for those who have been walking the whole day to have to climb uphill to gte back to the hotel. But there is some sort of a short cut back to the hotel - through the PanGlobal building.

We had problems with no hot water in shower followed by a full day of YELLOW/ORANGE contaminated water from the taps and shower in our room and were told that we would have to shower in the showers located on 34th floor near the pool. However, because of the problems we experienced they did not charge us for our late check-out. The level we stayed on seemed to allow smoking and so was a bit smelly to a non-smoker. Otherrwise good rooms and good location, breakfast very good.

I stayed in Pacific Regency for two nights (not in a row) during April 2007. The rooms are quite big but not well divided, and were a bit smelly. I didn't appreciate the fact that it had a huge kitchen, as I was not looking to cook anything. But if you're lookin for a serviced apartment, I think this hotel will be excellent. The bathroom was huge and excelent, as was the staff, very nice and helpfull. Luna Bar on the top is a must.

Large spacious rooms with excellent bathroom facilities. The bar, restaurant and breakfast facilities were very good, and the roof top 'luna bar' is one of the best bars in KL! The staff were very friendly (although they seemed totally unable to order a taxi for us!! - a minor issue really as there were many taxis passing by the hotel anyway!). As of February 2007 there was some renovation work going on, this was only noticeable in the lobby and did not affect my stay.

This is not like the bigger hotels. It is smaller in character and does not have the facilities of the bigger hotels. At the same time the rooms are big and comfortable and of a high standard. The food is good; it has an excellent pool and gymnasium; the staff are friendly and it has wonderful views over KL. It is located in the centre of town but in a quiet location. If you don't want to walk staight out into the shopping malls it is a pleasant place o stay.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at the Pacific Regency, located well within walking distance for those relatively fit to KLCC and BB Plaza and Sungei Wang the main shopping plaza's near by . The hotel is currently undergoing renovations to the front of the hotel reception area, driveway and landscaping is also being revamped, which will only improve the hotel external appearance. The only negative is the availability of Taxi's during the peak hour periods most want fare plus 3 or 5 ringett ontop of an already inflatted price, this visit most trips were negotiated prices with taxi drivers not wanting to use their meters or limo's, very frustrating. The hotel room was more than comfortable, clean, maintenance personnel visited my room three times dutring my two week stay to enquire if there were any problems that needed addressing, can't ask for more. An excellent value hotel, my only concern is that it may become to popular which would then drive the cost per room. Current price and occupancy levels are just right, I'll be staying there again in April good value.

Room very spacious and clean. All in all I was very impressed with Pacific Regency, the staff in general were very friendly although the check in procedure could be improved upon! Bar and lounge areas very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Nice pool area and again very relaxing, nice feel about the whole place. Just what you want in a big city. Very central and within waliking distance of most areas including KLCC. Would stay there again. Good value for money!

Overall it is value for money because the rooms are huge. However, the hotel location is up on a hilltop and walking back to hotel daily is tiring. The staff is generally helpful.

The hotel is in a quiet location, away from traffic noise. The apartment was clean, ample sized. and the bathhroom was very spacious. An ideal hotel for a relaxing holiday. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

but room service is little bit poor (they did not come to clean the room at certine time some times morning some time afternoon some times off)
you have to ask for teeth brush-tawels-shaving
there is no taxis services at the hotel
but the room size is great and comfort.

Good location, walkable distance to transportation and shopping areas.
Room spacious and clean. Hotel management needs training with regards to customer service - told various stories for four days as to why the internet was not working, instead of being told that the IT guy was on holiday right at the beginning. Spent hours in the room waiting for someone they were sending up to fix it, or waiting for them to call me back and they never did. Took another four days to get them to do anything about the people in the room next door playing loud music all night - with never any feedback. Think will try another hotel next time.

We were surprised by how nice the Luna bar was during the night with a very nice atmosphere and beautiful views. During the weekend the bar has an impressive night life and hotel guests are waived the RM 50 cover charge fee. The Soi restauraunt is also located in the building and a very nice buffet breakfast is inclusive everyday. I thoroughly recommend the Pacific Regency Apartments during your stay in KL, which is made even more affordable through this site. I'm sure I will return in the future.

One of the receptionist on the front desk was very unfriendly. On our first stay in this hotel(9-12/Sept). We checked in on 9th/Sept afternoon around 3 o'clock. She was very unhelpful (with a very sour face). Later on I returned to the front desk to put my partner's name on the hotel guest list, I had to repaet my room number 3 times to her. She served without a smile on the face. It seemed that she was doing me a favor to let me stay in this hotel. Although this lady let me have bad feeling about this hotel on my first arrival, but most of the staffs were quite friendly and helpful. Luckily I didn't see her again till the weekend of my second stay.(14-18/Sept). And again ..I asked if she can give me a spare key pad for the elevator so I could get up to my room while my partner was in the room with the key, she refused and insisted I waited for the porter to come down to let me use the elevator to get to my floor. In previous occasion, another receptionist happily lent me a key pad for the elevator. But this one wouldn't. (although we stay in a one bedroom suit, there is only one room key and one key pad for the elevator). Although I had bad experience with this particular lady receptionist. I still quite like this hotel especially the restaurant on 23rd floor and roof top bar and pool. I will still love to stay in this hotel but dealing with a receptionist like her will just put me off!

We stayed in the Pacific regency for a week, and found the facilities excellent. The area is quiet, close to the KL Tower & with spectacular views, particularly from the rooftop pool, which is meticulously maintained. There is also a most impressive massage suite.
The staff were charming and could not have been more helpful and the food in the Thai restaurant which we used on several evenings was excellent.
A very enjoyable stay.

Pacific regency is not a hotel its a hotel apartment hence don be looking for fancy lobby etc. Don go by there web site as its totally different from what they show or promise at web site. All rooms have very bad view & housekeeing services stinks. My experience was average as the hotel did not look into the room preferences i had specified at the time of reservation. Hotel overcharged me for the drop to the airport. I asked for the Petronas tower tickets to be orgnised for me, it was confirmed that they will be arranged but at last moment hotel did not arrange for them. I was really disapointed. You can find better hotel at the price which this hotel offers.

We stayed in the executive suite on 26th floor with view of Petronas Towers. Hotel can be acessed throught Pan Global building after checking in saving an uphill walk from the city center. Overall it is very nice, in fact while we were there the King of Malaysia entered the hotel via red carpet and ate at the Thai resturanut and went to the pool side club one night. It is about a 10 minute walk from KLCC and KL monorail to hotel. Desk is also very helpful with answering questions , getting taxies and getting taxies to use the meter. Only downside is occasionally you may need to wait for a taxi. for a few minutes. Some people like it well enought to live long term in the apartments. Has good facilities but was geared more for longer term residents.

Generally excellent and the only minus point was that although our payment included breakfast, they weren't able to provide even a room service one on our last morning as we were leaving at 6am. Would have thought a continentel breakfast could have been provided at least.
