This was our second stay here. The service and friendliness of the staff is second to none. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless, tastefully decorated and of a good size, everything you would expect from a 5* hotel. Great location next to KLCC (Twin Towers), where there are plenty of designer shops, restaurants, foodcourt and access to LRT train station. Superb infinity pool overlooking park and city with plenty of sunlounger where you are continually served with glasses of iced water, chilled grapes and provided with cooling water sprays. Breakfast is fantastic, everything you can ima...

The overall hotel staff service is good, food is nice. But the hotel executive taxi is dreadful. Instead of bringing us to our bus terminal on day of check out, we were taken for a joyride. The driver was very rude when I asked him if he's sure of the destination. A journey that should take 10-15 minutes became a 30 minute car drive. When I said that we're almost late, he started to get angry. Dropped us off at a unfamiliar place and told us to walk instead....in the wrong direction!! Well, we missed our bus that day. This is really a black mark. Hotel guests beware. Don't be taken for a joy ride.

The madarin is in a very good location and central the service is good and freindly, rooms are of a high standard. It is very much buisness hotel and very busy if you are prepared to put up with that for prime location the Madarin is good hotel. The choice at breakfast could be better. Our first visit to Kuala Lumpur was very impressed it is a lovely city the Pretonas Towers are amazing with shopping and excellent eating places your money goes far. Dinner at the top of KL tower is a must good value also recommend the city tour excellent for given you the landmarks for getting arownd.Wold love to re visit Kuala Lumpur excellent for a stop when travelling in the far east.

By far and away the BEST hotel in KL. Location right next to the Petronas towers and overlooking the park is brilliant. Breakfast was amazing - hard to get used to the chicken sausages and beef bacon though! Stopped over in KL on honeymoon on route to Bali and this hotel ensured we had a great time. PS. Don't bother going up the KL tower restaurant - it was awful and a rip off.

All in all the experience at the hotel was simply amazing and made my trip to Kuala Lumpur to extend for another few days because of the location, its a very happening time as soon as you get out of the hotel and everything is nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was simply more than enough and a lot of variety to choose from. The hotel has to just to look in the in-room entertainment as there is not much choice of channels, and i think being a five star hotel they should have a dvd-player in the room.

Very nice swimming pool though it's rather small. The service of staff is outstanding I must say! Location-wise, it's just 2 minutes away from Suria KLCC (convenient access to Light Rail Transit and Petronas Twin Towers) and close to the happening area of nightlife. Not that convenient for mono-rail though. But overall is a very high quality hotel which is worth the premium. Nice buffet breakfast there too by the way.

Excellent location as it is just adjacent to KLCC mall, if you are the shopaholic type just like me. I love the staff for being courteous and friendly. They are very helpful, too. Room is very clean and comfy. The bathroom is big enough and has complete amenities that you don't even need to bring your own toiletries during your stay. I would definitely stay in this hotel again given the chance to go back to KL.

Service was immaculate, although the some of the receptionists were not as charming as they could be. The infinity pool is wonderful and has a great view of KL. The location is fantastic, being next door to a huge up-market shopping mall which had everything from designer boutiques, to beaty salons and hairdressers. (Check out the Guinot Inistitute for treatments at a fraction of London prices.) The buffet breakfast was average with the dim sum, pastries/muffins and hot chocolate being quite disappointing. The desserts in Biba cafe are not that great either. There is a good gym and excellent changing room facilities should you want to use the pool after you've checked out. I would stay here again, although it's not in the same league as the Mandarin Orientals in Bangkok or HongKong.

The Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I regularly stay here because I know the standard is so high. I cannot fault this hotel at all. The staff and the rooms are fabulous and you cannot find a better location. I highly recommend the Chinese Restaurant in the hotel as it is five star in every way.

This hotel is ideal if you want to go shopping at the the KLCC shopping mall. We had an excellent time here. The pool was very refreshing and the buffet breakfast was fantastic (the eggs were cooked perfectly and there is even a breakfast steak available - grilled in front of you upon request) The only bad mark was when the concierge forgot to send someone to collect our bags even though we reminded them to do so upon checkout.

One of my favourite hotels anywhere. Good sized rooms, tastefully decorated with excellent bathrooms, service, excellent pool and gym in a great location. Outdoor pool overlooking the city is spectacular, gym excellent especially in comparison to the cramped offerings in most hotels. Great if you happen to be here on business but even better for leisure since you will just want to spend time enjoying the place! Only potential improvement would be a better main bar as a focal point for meeting people/evenings/quiet drinks. Right beside the Petronas towers with park, shopping, transport all within easy reach. A couple of years ago stayed here for around $100 per night which was amazing for the quality, now prices higher but still good value.

We found the Mandarin Oriental to be perfect in terms of location and access to transport. It is co located with the excellent Suria shopping complex, containing Isetan department store and Kinokunia book store, both of which we spent some time in. the value for money was excellent .(especially for visitors with Euros, Yen , Pounds or Dollars.) the staff were all well mannered and well trained. As during our previous stay, we again found the bathroom and shower facilities excellent. (something we always look for)
