The location of this hotel is excellent. You can go anywhere by buses, the bus stop is just outside the hotel. The front desk staff is so helpful with the transport information. Going to Zhuhai is a breeze, just take a bus from outside the hotel to the immigrations. Shopping and food is definately a lot cheaper in Zhuhai. This is the second time that I have stayed at the hotel, definately will return next year to stay.

Beds were hard and I could hear sounds from the other rooms nearby. The blankets were very uncomfortable. Service at front desk was very bad, they were indifferent to us - I was ignored for 10 minutes when I first checked in at the hotel. But the hotel is extremely close to bus-stop (right outside the hotel) and is within 7 minutes of Senado Square & other major attractions..

The location of the hotel is great is very near the town centre and the place to buy sourvenir. In front of the hotel is the place for bus stop so is convenient if your are going to other place like Taipa. The hotel room is quiet spacious although we add a bed. The staff there is great who on duty on the nite that we arrive, he gave us a lot of good direction for us how to tour around the Macau island. Conclusion, I am happy for our stay at there and is worth with the money that I pay. If next time I do visit Macau again, this hotel will be my first choice.

Staff could barely understand English so it was hard to communicate even for a simple request. Room was so small for the triple occupancy rate that we paid for. The rooms stunk when we first came in, good thing the bathroom was more spacious and clean compared to the room.

The single biggest problem with hotel was the beds, it was like sleeping on concrete! We have stayed in hotels with firm mattresses, but unfortunately this one had the hardest beds I have EVER tried to sleep in. Also I had requested a double bed & a single - 4 pax occupancy, and was told on arrival that there was no rooms available, so one of the children slept on the floor on some blankets, which was lucky for him, as it was the softest bed of the stay. There was also some sort of room deodoriser in use as one walked out the elevator, which was too cloying and not pleasant. Having said all the above, the hotel was convenient to the main shopping district and a lot of the tourist attractions. Bus stop outside the door, but the desk staff not very helpful when asked to call a taxi. 3 single beds, not too much room, no tea/coffee facilities, list of costs if anything was broken. Rude desk staff. Coffee shop advertised to be open til 2400hrs, but it never seemed to be. More of an industrial type area, but still convenient. bus stop outside the door almost, taxis can be hailed off the street, but seemed a bit scarce when we wanted one.

I like this hotel as it is just walking distance to all those tourist spots such as St.Paul's Church,Senado Square and Grand Lisboa Casino. It is also nearby those souvenir shops and antique shops.Easy to take a cab or a bus as those public transports will stop by the hotel entrance..It is very convenience during my stay there. The hotel room provide alot of TV channels and programmes to choose from, toilet space is jz adequate and have bath tub,and they provide an electrical pot to boil water as well which i am satisfied with it.The only thing that i dislike is the smell of smoke in the room.Overall,it is value for money.I'll definitely stay there again..

Staff tend to be more Chinese-speaking, so English-speaking tourists might have a problem communicating. Otherwise, the staffs are very friendly, particularly the one who added our bed did a great job ensuring we had everything we needed, yet refusing a tip from us. The minus point would be that they are currently doing some renovation work, so the toilet flush is down in the afternoon, but always back up by the time we are back in the night. Distance to Senado Square is about ten to fifteen mins walk. Booking online is certainly cheaper than getting the room on the spot.

We booked a triple room as we have done a year ago. We expected a roomy three bed room but not this time. The room allocated to us is a small twin room with additional bed very cramp for three people no space to move even though we were charged USD21 more than before. According the staff the room booked for us was a twin with additional bed. Luckily it is only for one night.

Here is the main problem with Macau Masters Hotel -- at the airport, we asked four taxi drivers to take us there, and nobody knew it. Certainly, their lack of English skills added to the problem. Use the name of the bus station as your destination -- it is right next to the hotel. NOW A COMPLAINT AGAINST HOTELTRAVEL: The hotel map on the website shows The Macau Masters Hotel as being between Guia Hill and the Macau Ferry Terminal, but this is wrong. When we finally did get a taxi and showed the map we copied, it added to the confusion. The hotel is actually located on the other end of the island by the inner harbor. Had difficulty with check-in. English is poor. Also, they require a cash deposit, which was returned after check-out, but i wasn't expecting it. Be sure to give them 100 Hong Kong dollars or 100 patecas, not 100 U.S. dollars. The beds were hard as previously reported, but tolerable.

Room was clean, airy and clean. Very helpful staff. Smack in the heart of a pedestrain shopping mall. Easy to hail a cab. Excellent location. Place is right in the heart of a marvellous pedestrain shopping mall. Food is easily available. There are 3 to 4 MacDonald outlets. Hotel counter staff are frienclly. They are ever ready to help with a smile. Will definitely visit again, Just recommended my nephew and his girlfriend to stay at this wonderful hotel. The nearest Metro Station is quite a distant away. ( A good 15 minutes to walk there )

the staff and concierge are all very courteous. our room, although average looking was clean and organized when we arrived, and all personal belongings are untouched by housekeeping. staff does not bother you but is always readily available to answer questions. all in all, we had an excellent stay. we'd love to be back. hopefully macau masters hotel will have even better rates in the future. i've already referred the hotel to a couple of my friends who will be going to hongkong and is planning to stay overnight in macau. we'd love to be back soon. thanks!

The hotel is very conveniently located. Buses are running just outside the hotel that can take us to most of the tourist attractions. Lots of places to eat near the hotel, that's another plus. Hotel is also quite near the airport, the fare is less than one hundred Macau money. Rooms although small, are so clean and nice, looks more like a four star setting sort of room. For the price of the room, I would fully recommend any budget traveller to stay.

As we were travelling in three, we requested for a triple room which is very spacious. The room has a seating area that seats 3 comfortably after fitting 3 single beds with good walking space between each beds. However, some people might find the bed stone hard. The view was good, but despite requesting for a non-smoking room & the hotel having notice in the room to indicate it is non-smoking, the previous occupants of our room smoked in the room and our room smell really very bad even though we open the windows & room door to air the room. After spraying the whole room with air-freshener provided by the house-keeping, the smell came back after a while we close the windows as the weather was getting cold. The housekeeping apologised profusely abt the bad smell of the room and let us keep the air freshener in the end. The hotel staff over the counter is helpful with directions and assisting us with keeping our luggage for a few hours after checking out. However, we managed to peek into a twin or double room which is less than half the size of our triple room, so we guess we got a good deal for the price we paid as compared to other double rooms. The hotel is also slightly away from the more crowded area of Macau City but within walking distance to the city area. Do check out the nearby alleys for some good food stalls.

The check in was quick, the room is big but there was a stale smell before the air-con was turned on. Part of the wall in our room was discolored, probably a water stain as the hotel is located next to the seafront. As reviewed by many people, the mattresses were hard but fortunately, not lumpy. Location-wise, it is not too bad though it is a bit further than one would have expected if one were to visit the casinos which are located nearer to the HK-Macau ferry terminal. One consolation is that the bus stop is located just directly infront of the hotel and is thus, convenient for those who does not wish to spend money on taxi rides.

The standard of room is good for the price we paid but due to the bad noise level, I gave it an average rating instead. unable to rate #3, as there were none in this hotel. as for #4, there are no food available, restaurant close early, better to pack/store some snacks incase you get hungry. The bus from ferry terminal terminates opposite the hotel, very easy to find and its just 5-10mins walk to the main centro, very convenient. The hotel is walking distance to the attractions. staffs were very friendly and helpful and able to provide information accurately.

Value for money, convenience location and easy access to public transport (the bus stand just right in front of the hotel!). You may take public bus (No. 3) from the airport to reach the hotel, but remember the bus fare is MOP3.30 and bus driver don't give changes, so change your money at the money changer near the exit but not too many because the rate is higher compared to those in city. Walking distance (10 minutes) to Senado Square, the main tourist spot in Macau, where you can do your shopping and enjoy nice food. Another 5 minutes walking distance from here is St. Pauls Church, the most famous structures and landmark in Macau and should not be missed! The hotel staffs are friendly and efficient. I complaint about the power point in my room and within 15 minutes the technician attended the problem and replaced a new socket. Besides this, the hotel also equipped with 21" (I think) LCD TV! Not many hotels are providing LCD TV, even 5 stars hotels might only providing conventional TV, but not LCD TV. Was surprise when first enter into the room and saw the LCD TV

This hotel is the most affordable hotel can be found in Macau. The location is great, the bus stop is just at the hotel doorstep. I actually travelled to the hotel by a direct bus from the airport. Just get down the bus, walk up 5 steps, and there I am at the reception desk. Its just a 10 mins walk to Senado Square. Well, its not just a boring 10 mins walk. On the way to Senado, I actually stopped by a few fairly priced restaurants. Delicious street food can also be seen ( if you're lucky and good timing ). Famous chinese pastry shops, deserts and chinese cuisines can be sure to be found in the back alleys ( after crossing the road in front of the hotel). Hotel rooms are quite small.. but enough to accommodate 2 guests. Considering the price for a night stay, worth the money! Toilets are clean... no moulds, no stains, bath tubs are perfectly white. Beds are ok... just a little firm but it wouldn't cause a backache. Well, the bus ticket office for long distance routes is just next to the hotel. You can conveniently walk over whenever you are ready to leave for another destination. Overall, I recommend this hotel to other travellers. Worth the money and convenient. Hoteltravel.com has provided me easy booking and hassel free researvation. The check in procedure went smooth because payment has been done by credit card. You do not need to carry much cash to pay for accomodation with hoteltravel.com. Safer this way.

The hotel staff is very friendly and the room is clean if compare to the outlook of the hotel. It is located near one of Macau tourist spot (15mins walk) and the bus stop is just right infront of the hotel. Overall I am very satisfied with the hotel and would choose to stay again in this hotel for my next visit.

Rooms were clean and the service staff were pleasant. However, it is quite difficult to hail a cab outside the hotel. Perhaps the hotel can provide a taxi service.

We stayed for 5 nights. 6 of us shared 2 deluxe 3 beds rooms which are big and clean, overlooking the harbour. Location is excellent. Special mention and thanks to day receptionist who went all the way to help us with directions, getting the exact change from her purse for our bus fare to Coloane and return, calling a taxi friend to take us to the airport during the morning peak hours, etc. However, the night receptionist appeared lost. Asked her for direction to Fat Siu Lau, which is just opposite Masters, but she suggested that we take a 15-20 minutes taxi drive.Luckily, we did not listen to her. Must say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Masters and Macau. Already recommended Masters to some friends travelling in April 2007.

the size is very old and small and has some trace of smoke. The staff is not so helpful. When we put our luggage at counter, they asked us have to come back at 3pm. This made us very stressful with city tour.

This hotel located near the port and also the tourist area. You can walk to largo de senado square/ruins of st' paul in 10-15 mins. The bus stop is just beside the hotel. I found it quite convenience to get around, although a bit difficult to find restaurant nearby. Reception was very helpful, they provide maps & guidebook of Macau. Room is not too spacious considering we had extra bed but have clean & nice bathroom. Didn't get the room with the harbour view though. The hotel provided extra amenities for us (it's 3 of us and they provide like 6 soaps, 6 pillows, and many others) and our room were ready when we arrived. Overall it's a nice stay and we're looking forward to staying there again soon :)

Good value for money. Took a single room, good enough for 2 persons. Only 1 person from the hotel spoke English, left late afternoon. But sign language is universal. Very good location. Close to everything, bus stop in front of the hotel. Room size: a little small, but fits the needs. Single room is ok. The room was clean, the furniture ok and new, clean, sanitary, no smell (as reported by other guest on her review). The 3 bedroom room makes you jump over the beds for every entry or exit. Good way to do some exercise.... :) Liked the idea of having a button near the bed to change tv channels, a pitty that it did not work... :(. The restaurant is a joke. No menu, a few tables. Coffee or tea @ very good prices, did not ask for something else. Plenty of restaurants or corner street food shops near the hotel. Conclusion: Good value for money for people that are not very picky and know how to find a method to communicate!

The room space is very very small. We requested triple standard room, however they offered us double standard room with extra bed. It's totally different from the picture shown in internet. Near to most of the tourist attraction within walking distance. Local bus station is in front of the hotel and outstation bus station is just beside the hotel.

The front desk service is good. The room is comfortable and I would recommend this hotel to my friends. A little advice to travel agency - I've booked a room for three, but I was given a room for two. Thanks god, the front desk help me to clarify and change the room at last. Frankly speaking, this kind of mistake shouldn't be happen. And there's room for improvement. Keep going....

Amenities adequate but room is small for two persons. The location is a few walking distance to the ferry terminal to Senzhen, therefore very convenient. 10 to 20 min. walking distance to shopping and casinos. There is a bus stop just infront of the hotel lobby . Taxi more hard to get in the area. Just an overnite then this is the hotel for you. The rate is higher than expected for a small room but if compared to other hotels' rate in Macau in terms of rate and location, it is value for money.

The first encounter with the receptionist caused problem. She was unwilling to keep the baggage for us as our check in was 2 days from then. She reasoned that there was no confirmation of my stay from your partner -TKW travel. It was 8 in the morning and TKW was not open yet. After long argument she was willing to help store the baggage. Not really a good service for a hotel. However, other things are fine. Room is clean, brand new wallpaper, toilet good, amenities are good. Close to city center. Bus stop in front of hotel. All in all it is worth the money spent.

The rooms are smallish, but are adequate for a budget hotel. The location is convenient -- it's a 5-minute walk to Senado square, and there's a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. They have a 'business center' -- actually 1 computer that you can rent to surf the net (MOP 10).

Stayed in Macau Masters for 2days. Its near the city center, just 10mins walk. The reception has a difficulty speaking in English but we managed to go my way. The hotel is near the shipyard, my room was overlooking the shore but no fastinating sight really. The hotel was undergoing renovvation so the way to my room was quite noisy. Though this hotel is fine with me and my budget. They have the basic need for a simple guest like me. The room was quite small but is only expected for the price. Recommended for budget travellers.

All we wanted was a clean, safe and centrally located place to stay in. This hotel fit the bill and we're satisfied with it. Location was the best thing about this - very close to the main sights! If all you want is a no-frills hotel, this is it.
