the hotel was very nice and clean, definitely value for money. food wasnt good though. but it is close enough to the downtown area where there are places to eat. it is within walking distance to largo do senado. the only real problem we ran into was that since it was christmas, my siblings were trying to reach us at the hotel but they couldn't. the receptionists didnt speak much english and kept connecting them to other rooms. but overall, it's a nice hotel. i'll stay there again when i go back to macau

the location is excellent! I got the ocean view from my room veranda. while the rooms can use a little more space, the way it was fixed made it all efficient and convenient. I am cannot complain. After all the walk and busy sight seeing schedule, it was always a welcome treat to come back to the hotel. We also made a day trip to HK. Ferry was convenient and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back to Guia if I visit Macau again and that might not be too far away ;)

This hotel is not bad. The location is fine. You can boogey over to 7-11 which is only about a block away. The restaraunt has dim-sum for lunch and it's good. Overall my room was very clean. The room is a little small, but normal for Asia. A walk to the main downtown Casinos is about 10 minutes. Oh ya, there is a men's lounge outside and in the basement of the hotel.I didn't check it out, but it's there, if that's your thing.

So surprise that the receptionists told us the rooms have been fully booked but we booked the room 2 months ago and we had received the confirmation slip ...We are so worry and they ask us wait at lobby and they will call to check. Luckily, After 15 minutes, they provide us a room. Hotel need to update the person check in list. The room very clean but the bed too hard and very diffivult to call a taxi there.

Location is safe and secure, although there's a club at the basement. Except for Guia Lighthouse, it was really far from almost all of the historical sites.
The room was really clean and has all the basic things that you need. The staffs speak good english and are very helpful.
If not for the location, I might just consider staying there again.

Agree with other reviewers.Genearlly a good value pleasant hotel.The retaurant is a no go unlessyou speak cantonese as no english is understood. But there is a 7 eleven and next to it a restaurant open 7am-11pm just down a street behind the hotel( the desk staff did not know). Hotel overall highly recommended.

Basic twin bed room with phone,tv, mini bar which only had 4 cans of soft drink. Nice bathroom. First time visiting the far east and chose this hotel for the sole purpose of being up close for the Macau GP,which excelled in that department by allowing us access to the roof from which we had a spectacular view of the city below and prime spot to watch the racing. Having read other reports about this hotel i had no problems,the front desk staff spoke reasonable english. The food in the restaurant was good.Only a minor note is breakfast which doesnt cater for westerners,no fry-ups here,you basically have Chinese for breakfast,dinner and tea. The nightclub below is a stripclub.Its a 10 minute stroll downhill to center and when getting a taxi back or on arrival to Macau make sure you have the name of the hotel written in native as english is very limited amongst the cab drivers. I would stay here again away from the hustle of the main big casino type hotels nestled under the lighthouse and on the backdoor of the locals. Enjoy.

The location of the Hotel is not convenient to most commercial places but they provide shuttle service going to Lisboa.
The Hotel was under construction at that time and the facilities were not in good condition. They even let us stay in twin room because they didn't have non-smoking rooms for 3, but we paid for triple.
There were also people playing mahjong in the lobby, along the walkway going to the elevator. It is not good for family travellers.

The Hotel ideally located within 15mins walking distance to major tourist sites such as St Pauls Church, the Sqaure and Casinos. It is next to Guia Fortress Lighthouse & Park, which gives you a panaromic view of Macau. The Hotel looks like an apartment block converted to hotel from outside, but the interiors and the rooms are modern and clean. The bedding and towels are pure white and toilets in modern glass finishings, flat panel TV mounted on wall. It is definately good value for money. We were there on a Mon/Tues, most guest appear to be families mainly from HongKong, no encounter with any 'undesirable characters. Lastly,I was very pleased that the hotel met my request (through your website) for King size bed, highfloor and non-smoking. I would not hesitate to recommend this website and the hotel to friends.'
