We stayed in this hotel in October 2006 and comparing the hotel room prices in Hong Kong this hotel is an absolut bargain. The location is perfect for ferry travellers, the hotel's suttle sevice is great. With the Fisherman's Wharf, Sands Casino just accross the street it is great for evening entertainment. The staff is friendly, though the concierge sevice is almost nill. No tour desk, they could not even provide a good map of the city. The (standard) room, bathroom was surprisingly large and sylish. Nice furniture confortable beds, feather duvets with immaculate bedlinnen, cable TV, internet...

Hotel was good, right across from the fisherman's wharf and a short walk to the Sands Casino where you can take a free shuttle to the Venetian and back. If staying at this hotel watch out for the HARD bed, it gave my partner and I sore backs in the morning.

Great location for this hotel, within a 10 minute stroll to the city heart with plenty of dining options, fishermans wharf and other entertainment options near by. Lousy gymnasium inside hotel ,better you go to the Physical club in the landmark hotel for serious gym goers.Good buffet breakfast and dinner, excellent sauna in hotel, good casinos near by. Would stay again.

I would have rather stayed closer to old town, the hotel was under renovation so I asked for high floor and didn't hear noise which was so bad when I checked in I could hardly hear the receptionist; fabulous harbor view with harbor view room, rug a big dirty, but recommend if you want to be near waterfront (there is no fisherman's wharf! yet?) and away from town and close to the ferry. Not great English speakers also.

Close to the ferry terminal but quite a walk from the town centre. Shuttle bus ran every half hour or so to the ferry terminal but had to walk or get a taxi to the main part of town . Did not find any suitable reataurants close by.

I was checking in on 4th Apirl 2008 at Golden Dragon Hotel. During my check in, I asked the staff in charge (Assistant Manager) at the reception counter that I will be going to Hong Kong on 5th April and coming back on 6th April to Golden Dragon Hotel again. Can I leave one of the luggage at the counter during my stay in Hong Kong. He answered me that they can only hold the luggage for 24 hours. Knowing that I will spend more than a day in Hong Kong, I have put in my request in the event that I came back late from Hong Kong, pls send my luggage straight to the room and they refused. According to them, they are afraid that no room available but to me is is ridicurious because I have booked the room through Hotel Travel and especially I have told them that I might come back ard 4pm on 6th April, which is way far from the official check in time. I think they are not being helpful.

This hotel needs to bill itself as a hotel that is not for westerners. The bed was very traditional and hard as a rock. There was no heat and it was freezing in the room. There is very little English spoken but people did try very hard to help you with their limited English. You had to request extra blankets rather than them just being in your room and then sign for them in case I were to steel the blankets. I also had to sign for the power adapter which should be standard in a hotel. This hotel is exceptionally clean however, we asked for a non smoking room and didn't get it and the room reaked of smoke. There are only two floors that are non smoking in the whole hotel. The help was friendly and tried their best but this really rated more like a two star as far as American standards are concerned. If it hadn't been so clean and luxurious (externally) I'm sure it would be two stars.

The room is clean, the location is convenience to move around. The reception staff is helpful and friendly. It is a nightmare to board the free bus shuttle from the immigration of the border gate at Zhuhai. The drivers are very rude and do not help to see that the commuters are following the que.

Location of this hotel is very convenient to connect Sands Casino and Macau Ferry Terminal. It is only 10 minites walking distance far from those facilities. Moreover, it is too close Yaohan Department store. you can also easy to buy something. Who would like to go to Sands Casino or Ferry Terminal, I strongly recommend this hotel. Room is also recently renovated so,quite good. The rates are very resonable what is inclusive breakfast but food was so and so, anyhow it is good hotel for recommendation.

Nice furniture confortable beds, feather duvets with immaculate bedlinnen, cable TV, internet, everything a traveller needs!! The breakfast area is a little somber, the food variety is great. I wish there would have been a non smoking section, and a rude guest would not have blown his smoke in my face during the whole breakfast time. Overall it is a value for the money!! I'd come back anytime. If you arrive and leave Macau by ferry this may be the best chioce hotel. One can literally walk to the ferry terminal. The Fisherman's Wharf is not only a nice entertainment spot, but it also provides great evening view from the room. The tourist agency is also just accross the street.

Overall a decent hotel with a good breakfast. The Casino was poor compared to the offerings at the next door Sands Casino, or the cross town new Wynn Casino. The location of the hotel was good, close to many things, and although the hotel staff tried to accomodate our requests, their command of English was quite poor, and in the Casino, terrible. I probably would not stay here again.
