For anyone who's going to extensively tour macau and will use the hotel just as a base for sleeping and stuff... this is an excellent hotel... the rooms are of good size and clean, hotel staff friendly... but the most most most important factor is the close proximity to all major casinos of macau except sands and venetian. going around was very very easy...i would definitely recommend the place for anyone who's going to macau and is likely to spend most time outside sightseeing...

The location of the hotel is highly accessible to major Casinos(Casno Lisbon, Wynn Casino, Star world Casino and almost all) we definitely had a great time walking around to shop and heading back to the hotel with ease. This is 2nd time of my stay within 18 months. I will repeat on my next visit.

Good location but no dedicated shuttle, shared with several other hotels such as metropark. Room was comfortable but the television was not working properly. On the whole, an acceptable accommodation for a place to sleep. There was no broadband access in my room.

The room is spacious as they upgrade us to the Executive Floor as they are doing some renovation at the lower floors. The bed is big and comfortable and the health pillow is very good for the neck. This hotel ensures that the customers has a good night sleep. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

The hotel is close to the major casinos and sights in macau. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and best of all, the room size is spacious. It's undergoing some renovation now, I'm sure it would be even better after that.

Liked most : convenient location Disliked : room lighting very dim; furnishings too old; room has not been aired to give it a fresh smell; no chairs to sit near hotel entrance whilst waiting for hotel shuttle I had no problem whist checking in or out of the hotel - everything was speedy. I had made another booking earlier in Hong Kong via HotelTravel.com and had a similar pleasant encounter. I will definitely use HotelTravel.com again for my future travels.

Many famous Casinos are just few minutes away by walking. Such as Lisboa, Pharoah, Wynns, MGM, Starworld. Free shuttle bus just next door at Pharoah casino. Many food outlets around the hotel, cheap and good food. Many free shuttle bus provided by the nearby casinos, you can make use of these free bus to Jetty, Macau- China custom and Taipa. For budget traveller, You can take AP1 Public bus from airport to Jetty, then take Lisboa or Pharoah's free shuttle bus from Jetty to either Lisboa or Pharoah Hotel, then walk 5 min to Emporer Hotel. Very Convenient. I would recommend this hotel to all. The hotel is under renovation till Sept 08. Quite noisy during the day. But I don't mind as I only go back to the hotel at night. I choose deluxe room, but the room was not as big as shown in the hotel photo. Not very clean as there was stain the toilet bowl, wall and the carpet was quite dirty. No swimming pool, no casino. no breakfast provided. Hotel staff quite friendly, They can speak Mandarin but not good in English. Never use the restaurant, because there are many food outlets around the hotel and the food are great. No tour desk provided. Very convenient and good location. Major casinos are nearby and many public bus pass by this hotel. Free shuttle bus at Lisboa and Pharoah can save you a lot of money.

The room was larger and cleaner than expected. The location was oerfect. It was just a stone throw to most of the major Casino and 10 min walk to ST Paul church area. The staffs was very helpful too, they even help me to book a mini bus when they see that i was traveling in a large group.Overall, i will rate the hotel 4 /5.Before i depart, the hotelis going on some renovation. i guess, it is really worth every cents. And the rate from Hoteltravel, is the BEST i found. Thank you hoteltravel.com

I paid US$164 for this 3-star hotel which was a rip-off and opportunistic even for the National Holidays period. Such policies do not speak well of the hotel's attitude towards customers and for sure not intended to foster customer loyalty. The concierge was helpful in securing Jetfoil tickets for me and advising me of the free shuttle service to the ferry terminal. I booked a non-smoking room but the room I was given reeked of cigar smoke. Fortunately they changed the room for me on request. Beware of a Congee/Noodle/Rice restaurant located in the lane immediately behind the hotel. They have live seafood in tanks but I forgot the name. I went there for breakfast and ordered fish congee. I was shown a live fish that looked like a dark Guorami of around 400g and agreed without asking the price (my big mistake). My breakfast (for 2) cost me more than 400 Patacas with the fish alone being charged at 300. I had no choice but to pay as I have already eaten the fish but for sure I have been had. Beware!

Location short walking distance to Lisboa Casino & Star Casino. 15-20mins taxi from airport, paid HKD65 with luggages. 5mins taxi or 20mins walk to Sands. 10mins taxi to Senado shopping area. Decent room size, both rooms have strong cigarette smell but sheets & towels are clean. Free shuttle bus service to ferry terminal which was great, but must tell the bellboy outside hotel to inform you as there are different buses. Behind streets have some local food places. Hotel staff speaks English. Lobby looks new and modern. Overall a pleasant stay. But Sintra Hotel is definitely at a better location but is a much older hotel.

I think a hotel such as this could be a bit cheaper. I paid $145US per night. In Hong Kong, I get the equivelent of this kind of hotel for between $85 and $125, depending on the season. They need to have their Western restaurant up and running and the lounge too. The Chinese restaurant was very good. Good, clean rooms and they have FOX News channel....a bonus. I live in Guangzhou and go to Macau and HKG often. I will stay here again.

The location was good if you want to gamble at the Wynn or Star casino, but otherwise was out of walking distance from most others. The hotel itself was great; much better than I am used to staying in. Since this is my first time in Macau I can't really compare, but I did stay in a hotel in Kowloon that was the same price and it wasn't anywhere near the Emporer's quality.

This hotel located at a superb location as it is just within walking distance to two of the three most famous casinos in Macau, which are Wynn and Star, and also next to few famous casinos, of course many restaurants surrounding it too. The best thing is it is very cheap though it is surrounded by all super expensive hotels, room is surprisingly good and spacious. Though not as great standard compares to international hotels, but acceptable. Strongly recommended!!!!!

The staffs are quite friendly and helpful. The room and furnitures are a liitle bit old but still in good condition. The location is quite convenient to move around even though it's not right in the middle of down town. There are many casinos around the hotel. There is also a free shuttle bus service between the hotel and Macau Ferry Terminal. But the Shuttle Bus is a co-service among 4 hotels with a small sign at the door so you have to look for the bus carefully otherwise you may miss it and have to wait for another hour.

Clean and not to small for a lower cost hotel. The bed was very hard by my standards but I believe they are all the same in that area. Very good service and helpful staff, particularly for an English speaker. The hotel is in the middle of town making it a bit noisy from construction nearby but if you want peace and quiet don't stay so close to the action. Easy walking distance to many attractions and the regular shuttle bus to the ferry terminal was great. The best thing was the staff who went out of their way to do that little bit more.

Our request for non-smoking rooms was not honoured. Their response was non-accommodating, saying that there was no such request. Two of the four rooms we checked in were filthy and the carpet smelled and badly stained. We upgraded all four rooms to executive floor but the rooms were no better. Some friendly staff at the executive floor. Drinks and requests were served with smiles and immediate response. This is one hotel I would not return to.

The hotel is well located, close to the main casinos and the Fisherman's Wharf. The facilities are basic and internet service is only available in their executive lounge which closes very early in the evening. Another draw back is that the hotel can be very noisy late at night/early mornings with people returning to their rooms.
