Rated #31 for all Tokyo hotels
I loved the room, the view, the service - always very fast and pleasant.
My only problem was that the pool and gym seemed to cost $20 to use per day
but the staff said that if I became a Gold Member of the Hyatt group this would be waived. This just seemed unnecessary as they already had enough of my particulars that I should automatically become a Member, especially if the whole point was to get my email address. It seemed rather insulting and confusing.
Other than that I would absolutely go back to this hotel....

The staff are friendly and always try their best to meet our special needs. The shuttle bus service is frequent and very convenient. The hotel also has many good restaurants in its vicinity, like in Sumitomo Bldg. We visit Tokyo once almost every other year and we always stay at this hotel.

Generally good value. Very helpful and courteous staff. Concierge extremely helpful. Excellent location for families next to Shinjuku Chuo park. Very good buffet breakfast. Very disappointing arrangement with pool/fitness facilities- disguised as a part of a seperate spa facility. Guests are expected to pay $ 20.00 USD and $ 10.00 USD for kids just to use the pool/fitness equipment. Would rate almost everything as excellent if these amenities were included.

After staying at the Langham Place Hotel in Hong Kong, this was a big disappointment for the same price. It's a really old hotel so the furnishings are drab and the hotel is pretty dark, the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, breakfast buffet was unimpressive, you have to pay $25 per person to use the pool or gym, it wasn't as close to Shinjuku station as i would have liked but there is a bus running every 20mins to take you there.
I wouldn't stay here ever again - way too overpriced for what it is.
