In south-central Honshu Island, Japan, along the Pacific Ocean is the lovely city of Shizuoka, which is well known for the pretty Miho no Matsubara (Miho Pine Grove). What’s more, the pine trees are complemented by a long stretch of beautiful white-sand and black-volcanic-sand beach. Shizuoka is the capital city of Shizuoka Prefecture. Also nearby is the ancient Toro archaeological site, which was once a village in the Yayoi period (400 BC-AD 30).
