Cherry from Australia stayed in a Standard (small double bed) for 1 day.
This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in Japan. It is very close to the train station and the service was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and the restaurant has the best view over the Osaka bay. Hotel room size is a little bit bigger than the average Japanese room and you get a very good sea/city view. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to travel to Osaka. You must have the breakfast.

Every hotel I stayed at in Nihon was amazing and while Mitsui Urban Hotel Osaka Bay Tower looks amazing on the outside, the inside was rather a different story! The whole hotel had a rather stale smell, I do not know if this is due to the very old carpets, the non-working air conditioning or the high level of heat inside the hotel or a combination of both but it was very uncomfortable staying in this hotel for more than a few hours (good thing there was so much to do outside). At night we ended up having to leave the window open even though for safety, you are not supposed to open them as it is a long drop down but we didn't have any kids with us so we did so. Japanese cities are noisy at night, while I don't mind this, when you are trying to sleep it is a little annoying and I would have preferred to keep the windows closed but with the unbearable heat and stale air smell it wasn't an option. The staff were 'nice' but no where near the level of hospitality we had seen everywhere else, even from the locals. I would say this hotel needs to be re-fit also needs brand new air con and the staff need to visit some other hotels so that maybe they can be a bit nicer. None of them were rude, just seemed unwilling to help. This was also the only place where no one offered to trolly our luggage to the room.

Hotel staff may it be at the front desk or the chambermaids are very helpful and friendly. I lost my room key though being made to pay cash of Yen 20,000 but the front desk staff took the trouble to re-check in my room and at the restuarant to try to assist me to find the lost key.Very sincere attitude and top class service rendered to the hotel guest. The waitress at the Sky Lounge at the 51st floor was patient to help to translate the Japanese menu to English on the French cuisine. Not one but a few came to attend to me. It made the evening beautiful together with the wonderful meal on the last night of my stay in Osaka. Mitsui Osaka Bay Tower offers good service and good quality food to the hotle guest. I will definitely stay in this hotel again. The closeness of the train station at Bentencho made travel very convenient.
Witness a huge procession of horses, ox-drawn wagons, portable shrines and some 3000 people in gorgeous traditional costume head toward Mido-Suji Avenue. At Tenjinbashi Bridge the participants board 100 boats, lit with countless torches and lanterns. The massive boat procession heads down the Dojimagawa River, creating a spectacular pageant.
