non-english speaking, unhelpful staff, stuffy/oxygen-deprived room, very small room (two single beds filled the room). Compared to our other similarly-priced hotels in Japan this was by far the worst. The hotel fire alarm woke the entire hotel at 6am and as the 200 or so guests descended the fire escape in our robes, the manager came out apologizing for a staff error. At least we got an early start on our day of tourism but this place was a disaster. The one nice thing is the spa which is lovely. If you end up staying here, definitely go up to the spa.
