Fukuoka is situated on the northern shore of the island of Kyūshū in Japan, and is the largest and one of the most populated cities in Japan. This bustling city is home to a plethora of upmarket hotels and well as a wide array of budget conscious lodgings. Temples like Tochoji and Komyozenji are amazing examples of Zen architecture, while the Kushida Shrine serves a different but equally important cultural role. Momochi Seaside Park is a great place to unwind, and don’t miss Fukuoka Tower for the best views of the city.

Fukuoka’s international airport connects the city with a number of domestic and regional Asian cities such as Bangkok, Hong Kong and Beijing. Japan Airlines is one of the main carriers operating out of Fukuoka, but many other global carriers also offer regular flights.
