
Verona International Airport is situated just 12 kilometres outside the city. Facilities at the airport are good and include banks, ATMs and bureaux de change; bars, restaurants and fast food eateries; shops and newsagents; car rental; information desks and a business centre complete with wireless internet, computers, video conferencing facilities and office equipment.
There are a number of domestic and international flights available including scheduled and charter flights.

Budget airlines serve Verona Brescia Airport (D'Annunzio Airport), 50 kilometres from Verona. From here there are daily flights to many European destinations, operated by low-cost airlines such as easyJet.

Transfers from the airports to the city are best done by hire car or taxi, but buses are also available and are cheaper.

The historical centre of the city is where most of the sights can be found and is easily negotiated on foot. However, the public transport system is good and operates a network of over 20 reliable bus routes. It is possible to purchase a day pass which allows unlimited travel on any bus throughout the city, while the Verona Card allows for access to city attractions and discounted transport.
Verona train station sees trains arrive from all over Italy. It is important to book tickets in advance to ensure there are seats available.

If you would rather have a more private journey, taxi stands can be found throughout the city although the main taxi stands are at the train station and at Piazza Bra. It is not possible to pick up a taxi from the side of the road.

There are a number of car hire agencies throughout the town although it is adviseable to book online in advance, where you will find the best prices. Car hire is a good way to see the surrounding areas at your leisure.
