Monaco & Grand Canal Hotel originally belonging to the Dandolo family (from 1638) and hosted the first "Ridotto Pubblico", a place to which nobility and people from all walks of life, would retire for pleasure and intrigue. Giacomo Casanova considered this place the ideal backdrop for his conquests and restoration has managed to revive, with a contemporary feel, the atmosphere of this historic building.

The location is best in Venice. The concierge particularly and front desk staff are unfriendly and treating us arrogantly and improperly. The continental breakfast is boring for our five days stay. The room given to us was the smallest on the hotel room map, despite our five day stay. The room making was fine, and clean.
