Bonvecchiati Hotel, halfway between the splendour of Saint Mark’s Square and the romantic Rialto Bridge, offers typical authenticity and care to all its guests. Not by chance has the name Bonvecchiati been synonymous with cordiality in Venice since 1790: it was originally a small inn with adjoining wine tavern owned by the Bonvecchiato brothers who, strengthened by a successful family and business agreement, soon changed the name to the plural Bonvecchiati.

Location was excellent. Majority of the staff were friendly most of the time. Food was of good quality. Bar was not attended when we went to use it. Access to tourist information was poor. Room was of very good size, could do with a little TLC regarding plug sockets etc which were hanging off the walls. Bathroom accessories was good and cleanliness/maid/laundry was very good, although very noisy when cleaning neighbouring rooms - even though we had 'do not disturb' on our door. My only negativeness would be slightly overpriced for a 'Standard Room'. Would be interesting though to know what you get extra for a Deluxe?
