Turin International Airport is a busy facility located 16kms north of the city centre. It is the main gateway for passengers arriving in the Piedmont region and has a number of international flights arriving and departing every day. The main carrier is Alitalia, Italy’s national airline, which offers a number of domestic flights as well as international flights across the world. In addition, there are a number of budget flights available to and from European cities.

The single-terminal airport has good facilities such as bureaux de change and ATMs, extensive shopping opportunities (including duty free), restaurants, bars, and a business centre with internet, wireless internet and photocopying services.
Transport from Turin airport to the city centre includes rail and bus services. The efficient Ferrovia Torino-Ceres rail services connects the airport with city destinations throughout the day, while cheaper bus services also serve many parts of the city directly from the terminal.
Turin boasts an excellent public transport network with buses, trams and the metro services covering all areas of the city. There are also a number of bicycle paths running throughout the city and taxis can be hailed from the street with ease. If you would prefer to travel in privacy, there are hire car agents throughout the city, although for the best rates it is adviseable to book online.

Bus, tram and metro services are all interlinked and tickets can either be bought separately for each journey or it is possible to purchase a Torino Card which allows passengers unlimited travel on all three modes of transport within a 48-hour period.
