Sorrento is a small city across the bay from Naples, on the western Italian coast. A tourist destination, Sorrento is blessed with cobbled alleyways amongst artisan shops and high sea cliffs which provide breathtaking vistas to visitors. Convenient to Capri, Pompei, Amalfi and Ischia, the town is a favorite of those that prefer a quieter, more secluded place to lodge than busy Naples.
