I have stayed at the Katane Palace Hotel many times over the last 2 years or so and I would highly recommend it. This hotel provides free secure internet access (54 Mb) wireless... Floors 0, 2 and 4 are best for wireless connections. You will need to ask at the desk for a 1 or 3 day access and it provides and setup the connection for WEP security, they supply the WEP key. They also provide free mini-bar (water, soda etc). The rooms are nice, clean, good size. Restaurant is very good and all the people are friendly and mostly speak English. I have stayed at the Katane Palace Hotel many times over the last 2 years or so and I would highly recommend it. This hotel provides free secure internet access (54 Mb) wireless... They also provide free mini-bar (water, soda etc). The rooms are nice, clean, good size. Restaurant is very good and all the people are friendly and mostly speak English. I would highly recommend this hotel for any stay but particularly for Business travel, the free internet alone could save some 15 EUR a day. The only strange thing is that they charge phone connection charges, typically 12 cents per call (international) - not sure why they do this when they provide free internet... The hotel is in easy walking distance of main shopping areas and the many restaurants in Catania. Overall a great hotel and I highly recommend it.
