The hotel is beautiful. However, upon arrival at 2100hrs there was no indication as to where check in (reception) was located. I walked around and found it in one of the two buildings. The staff was professional, spoke English as advertised. The location of the hotel was not ideal for any sightseeing. I had a rental car, so I was fine, but don't stay at this hotel if you don't want to spend money on transportation. The breakfast spread is plentiful and was included. The pool has very limited hours for children, not ideal in the months where the outside pool is closed. Parking is convenient and free.

This is a wonderful hotel! Rooms are very nice (bathroom to die for), pool is lovely and warm, not a lot of sun beds but no one stay's all day so be patient, the pool attendant with sort out a comfy chair while you wait. The front desk and bar staff can't do enough for you. Didn’t use the Spa but it looked amazing. All I can say is if you’re in Roma for a week+ this is the place to stay!! Now for some top tips: 1) The hotel runs a shuttle service which we happily used going in to town some days but find the #8 Tram line around the corner. It takes you to the Piazza San Marco in the centre of town in 20 minutes and runs until just after midnight and so means not having to take cabs back at night. The hotel sells travel tickets but if they run out, follow the tram line to the next stop down the line (5 min walk) and there is a corner shop on the right which sells them as well as water, snacks, etc. Note: you can only buy travel tickets from tobacco shops if you’re out as far as we could work out and they keep random hours. We always made sure we were organised to have one to get back to the hotel as we bought singles. 2) Speaking of that corner shop, across the road from the shop and tram is a great place called BrewEat. They don't speak much English but they do craft beer and serve food/pizza until 5am. Very local and even treated us to a bottle of wine as we went there 4 times ! After a day and evening in the centre this is a great way to end the day. Easy walk back to the hotel as well. 3) We are not CAMRA folk but the hotel evening bus drops you right near Piazza Trilussa where there are all sorts of wonderful bars if you want to try a wide range of beers, try Ma Che Siete Venuti (Via Benedetta, 25 00153). Plenty of restaurants as well. 4) So much choice when it comes to eating but if you find yourself hungry in Campo de Fiori, The Maranega’s food was excellent. 5) Last tip, we did a secret tour of Roma and it was done by Alex Mariotti of Dolcevitaroma. The hotel can't arrange it so look it up on-line by using his name, a TripAdvisor link will come up . It was great. It’s not a regular tour so if you are thinking of doing it, get in touch in advance. Oh yeah I would give the Vatican a miss unless it is your mecca. PACKED !!
