Situated on the Adriatic coast in north eastern Italy, Rimini is a popular resort that’s part of a seaside recreation area extending for more than 120kms, from Porto Garibaldi to Cattolica. This beach lovers’ paradise has been a draw with tourists that love the sun and sea for many years, and with those in search of a vibrant nightlife scene. The party scene here is non-stop.
Rimini is not only an action-packed resort for young adults, it’s also a great destination for families with children. There are clean beaches with facilities for water activities, family-friendly hotels and restaurants and a number of themed attractions. Among these are the educational and fun ‘Italy in Miniature,’ the Delphinariuim with its popular dolphin shows and the amusement park Mirabiliandia.

Mediterranean Seafood Exposition: held annually in Rimini over several days in late February, this is one of the most comprehensive food and beverage expositions of the coastal area. Local seafood and produce are featured, as are local dishes and also international foods.
For many visitors, the beaches of the Rimini Riviera are the major attraction here, but there are plenty of additional sights of interest in and around the historic city centre. Rimini’s Roman period dates from the 3rd century BC, and a number of ruins remain from that time. A bit later, in 27 BC, the Arco d'Augusto was erected, and a Roman bridge, Ponte di Tiberio, was constructed in 21 AD. Piazzas lined with historic buildings and nearby ancient villages are also popular with tourists.

Rimini International Airport (RMI), also known as Aeroporto Internazionale Federico Fellini, is located approximately seven kilometres from the city of Rimini. It services Rimini and San Marino with flights on scheduled airlines and major charter operators that arrive from points across Europe and other parts of the world as well.
