Lucca is located in north central Italy, in Tuscany, and resides along the Serchio river. Famed for its Renaissance-era city walls, the city is compact and very walkable, and is a favorite destination for low mobility visitors to Tuscany, whose many towns and cities are steep and require exertion to cover on foot.
