We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and was told it was not possible to have a meal at the restaurant, or order room service, being a Sunday, which meant we would have to find a restaurant. With my mother being 85 this was inconvenient and tiring. Also we asked if we could have an early breakfast as we needed to catch an early train. We were told "no", and no effort was made to accommodate us in this area. Another problem for me was the pillow was ridiculously hard as was the bed, it was like sleeping on a gym mattress. I asked for a softer pillow but this was not possible. They offer a free tea and coffee making facility, upon request, but I had to go down to pick it up, and it came without enough milk to make 2 cups of tea, no biscuits or a teaspoon! Plus the cups were not washed up during our 2 night stay.On a positive, it is close to the train station, and the view from our window was lovely. I woiuld not recommend this hotel for any other reason than its proximity to the train station.
