Mashad hotel : nuance is very important here ! Look the hotel is located in Teheran, and Teheran is not Las Vegas, the French riviera or Dubai. Hotel Mashad(near the ex-USA Embassy) is an old and typical middle range hotel in the Middle east. Toilet & bathroom needs to be renewed, the room was cleaned every day, but no new sheets, I am familiar with these aspects in other countries. If you're into swimming pools, yakuzi, massage, 5 star room service, etc, it's the wrong place, but then again, Teheran is quite special! But, The staff is excellent, top class really and very, very helpful. The other asset, and surprising to me, was the excellent top floor restaurant ! I ate in other places in Teheran aswell, and Mashad ranges amongst the best. Lunch and evening meals were quite impressive. And a nice view of the city. conclusion : next time I would look for another hotel, probably more expensive, but I wouldn't mind going there again, great restaurant and very nice staff. So average, but certainly not never again !
