I always have a personal preference for Starwood hotels, but this one disappointed me. It seems like communication was the main issue. First, i had asked for a non-smoking room, but was given a smoking room (my baggage and clothes smelled bad even after i have left the room). Second, Concierge was overstaffed but none of them were attentive to customers. I waited more than 5 mins to get help as I watch 3 of them chatted away with each other. They also need to brush up on their English language skills esp since the hotel normally hosts international business men/women.
That said, the staff at the Spa, Fitness Centre and Breakfast restaurant were very helpful and friendly. They were attentive and efficient. Breakfast spread was good. One redeeming feature of the otherwise bland hotel.Hotel Facilities

The hotel is located in the main business district of jakarta,surrounding by offices buildings.Would be better not to go out during rush hour but if needed to go somewhere its pretty much in the middle of anything.Right behind the hotel has a nice cozy mall that u can hang out or having other meal than hotel meals.The breakfast and dinner services inside the hotel was quite dissapointed,felt like we were at the staff canteen where it wasnt easy to get sugar or cutelerries on the table since the staff mostly not well trained. There's a nice bar at the lobby area that is good for after hour or even louder music down below if u like crowd...
The overall our stay was quite ok nothing special about this hotel,it just located in the very best area security & flexibelity wise.Hotel Facilities

Unfortunately, I had bad luck this time. The room was fine, spacious, clean, but the bathroom was old and around 6 AM water came from the ceiling. It seems to be that when the guest in the room over mine, takes a shower, then all the water goes down through the ceiling and made my bathroom a real mess and woke me up for 2 days in a row. The first time the front desk sent a person to overlook and fix the problem. He said it was fixed, but it wasn't. Again, water was coming from the ceiling, just like rain. Terrible because I was in a rush and also wanted to shower. Then, the last night I was offered to change rooms, but it was too late because I was leaving very early the following morning. The hotel is not cheap. It is expensive and you expect to get not only good service, but also a good room. This was not my case. The food from room service was good, so was the breakfast. Because of my bad experience, I won't stay here anymore. Be careful with the room you get. The management should renovate the bathrooms as they look very old.Hotel Facilities

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel. I was completely impressed with how courteous and efficient the hotel staff were especially the doorman, the bellboy and the concierge. However, I have one complaint to make. I requested earlier for a king size bed but they only prepared two single beds pushed together to form one bed. So my husband and I had to sleep on our sides of the bed as sleeping in the middle of it would be very uncomfortable because of the gap.Overall, I would recommend this hotel to visitors to Jakarta.Hotel Facilities

Many seem to be abandoned/half completed. So , you can still enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding areas. Security is well-emphasised but you can go in/out with minimal hassle.
