Indonesia Introduction

The Indian Islands, better known to everyone as Indonesia is a virtual understatement when you consider there are over 17,500 islands of which only one third are inhabited. The majority of Indonesians reside on five main islands and thirty archipelagos.

Indonesia’s capital Jakarta is a small port town-turned-metropolis and is the country’s centre of business and government. Home to about eight million residents, it serves as the main gateway into Indonesia and offers a complementary blend of western architecture and modern comforts, along with Indonesian cultural values.

Jakarta offers modern world luxuries such as good public transport, modern hospitals, great parks, huge shopping malls as well as an abundance of culturally-rich museums, galleries and architecture.

Bali is probably the best known hotspot for tourists when someone mentions the country Indonesia. It offers a variety of things, from partying in fantastic night clubs, dining in great restaurants enjoying the fresh sea food caught that morning, or simply relaxing in one of the many perfect spa’s dotted around the island, but what it has in common with everyone who goes there, is the fantastic beaches and perfect weather. Everyone loves to relax on the golden sands, sipping a refreshing drink while soaking up the rays of the sun.

There are many places that are unexplored and if you are the exploring and adventurous type, you can hike around the islands or the mountains, and explore areas not many people have ever visited. The local inhabitants are friendly and welcome any foreigners into their village and will treat you with great respect.
