When prices for the estate’s coconut, nutmeg, coffee, pepper and cloves plummeted in 1975, HRM Moestadjab founded the agro-tourism farm Margo Utomo for travellers with nature-oriented tastes that other hotel’s couldn’t meet. His widow, Ibu Yati, keeps alive the spirit of his efforts in this unique resort.
