The room (garden suite) was spacious and comfortable, the staff met your every need and the food was varied and catered well for vegetarians. Good for Borobodur, quiet. Just an hour from the airport with excellent airport transfer. The hotel will provide transport - no other is available. Beware that a "free" drop off" at Borobodur includes an entry ticket which is then charged at considerable mark up.
For me the hotel lacked, design, charm or beauty or a view that mesmorised. We stayed at some Waka hotels that had more charm and equal comfort for a fifth of the price. It was tasteful, peaceful and comfortable but very bland. The outdoor bathroom was particularly barren. The staff are very helpful but for my taste - too subservient - I don't need someone to open the toilet door for me or empty the bin 3 times a day. There are a high number of staff who look after your every move - a bit too closely for me. i don't need someone opening the toilet door for me - or asking me if I need something every time I walk into a different part of the hotel. The food was very good quality and there was a good choice for vegetarians. Good option of eating the same menu in the room and very flexible eating times in the restaurant. We were offered breakfast or lunch at 11.00. Good for Borobodur, quiet. Just an hour from the airport with excellent airport transfer. The view didn't live up to my expectations - the trees you look onto are very distant - so it's not a view that absorbs you.
