We have stayed at the Winner on four occasions over the years. The staff are great, it is in a good location with easy access to the beach, access out of the back of the hotel to Benesari lane, turn left for Legian, five mins walk, turn right for Kuta and Poppies, no need for taxis. the food is ok (Bacon, sausage and beans everymorning would go down well!). Two very clean pools, swim up bar, on site shop which sells most of your needs, shops at your back gate for everything else you may need. The hotel rooms are being up dated gradually, the hotel is well run and I would not hesitate to give it a good rap for location food ,room service , and value for money.Hotel Facilities

It's right in the the middle of Legian & Kuta, only a 15 minute walk either way. The rooms are slowly being renovated which include new bathrooms. Winna Holiday Villa Kuta Bali Hotel is located in strategic area, u can walk around 3-5 minutes to see the wonderful beach kuta, around 7-10 minutes to find Hard Rock Cafe, but it's quite far to find the club.At Winna, I have got a Supperior Room, their building is a balinese style not a modern one but, u'll love it for the rate.The breakfast was great, we got american breakfast but, there was no "nasi goreng/fried rice". The hotel is currently under renovation, we were first put in a 3rd floor room, which was poorly maintained. the floor was sticky, aircon is lousy, small tv and the the toilet tiles are old n mouldy, the bath tub simply turn us off. The front desk ppl are bad in their english and it's very 'normal' to see no one ard the reception. After reading reviews on this hotel, i tried to change our reservation. I am glad we didnt. There was a room stuff up when we first got there, got 2 single beds instead of a double but the staff got another room ready for us in a hurry. Yes its not modern but, its Bali, not the Gold Coast. In a great location, far enough away from the action but still close enough to enjoy te fun. It is up a alley way but its totally safe. The staff were so friendly, the food was great. The location was inconvenient and the rooms were not well maintained. Even service at the reception was unlike the typical Balinese hospitality. The pools and grounds of the hotel were good though. Overall I was pleased with Wina. The only disappointment was the bathroom. It had a significant leak from the toilet cistern which flowed across the floor, creating wet areas that you had to stand in. The bath was also below standard. It had obviously been repaired at some stage and the back half of it didnt drain, leaving a pool of water. This was far form satisfactory. The stairs would also be a problem for some people, with rather large steps up in some places. Also lighting was not working at the top of the flight of stairs above the foyerHotel Facilities

I like the fact that the hotel is near the beach, but the alley that we have to take to reach there can be scary especially at night. Overall, we are very happy with our stay at this Hotel. Our room was cleaned. Surrounding also very clean. Good value for money. My rating for this hotel is 9/10. Service and facilities is like four star hotel. We would like to suggest to the hotel management, to put more "road light' along the small path from main road to the Hotel. Because we need to walk few minutes (4-5 minutes) from main road to the Hotel and it is a bit dark at night. It is just for safety reason. We enjoyed our stay at the Wina Hotel. The rooms, restaurant and services were all that we required. We enjoyed the quietness of the surroundings, including pool areas etc. and the mix of nationalities staying at the hotel. Previously we have stayed in Legian, so it was nice to stay a bit more central to save a lot of walking to and fro. The transport available to take you to Kuta Square free of charge was a good idea, even tho we only used it on one evening. It was useful to know it was there if needed. Unfortunately the last 3 days of our holiday were disrupted by the bombs. We decided to stay but we were very wary of situation. One concern we do have is that the hotel did not come and let us know of the bombs. It took a friend ringing at 4.45am (Bali time) to see if we were alright, to inform us of the bombs. We did wonder on our way home to NZ why or if the hotels or resorts in Bali let any of their guests know of the situation. But overall we have no complaints of the Wina HotelHotel Facilities

location is good, swimming pools are good. The bar in the smaller pool is great, so is the staff there. The rooms are ok, although the bathrooms are not always clean.
