We have stayed at the Winner on four occasions over the years. The staff are great, it is in a good location with easy access to the beach, access out of the back of the hotel to Benesari lane, turn left for Legian, five mins walk, turn right for Kuta and Poppies, no need for taxis. the food is ok (Bacon, sausage and beans everymorning would go down well!). Two very clean pools, swim up bar, on site shop which sells most of your needs, shops at your back gate for everything else you may need. The hotel rooms are being up dated gradually, the hotel is well run and I would not hesitate to give it a good rap for location food ,room service , and value for money.

Clean, friendly, value for money hotel. We have stayed 3 times in the last 15 months and will be staying there again next year. It's right in the the middle of Legian & Kuta, only a 15 minute walk either way. The rooms are slowly being renovated which include new bathrooms. The beach out the front is perfect for young families and the people on the beach are fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else with my family.

Hotel was ok but we had bed bugs which spoilt it. The bungalow rom was a little run down and the wooden door did not close properly which allowed the mozzies to get in. There are better hotels in Bali for a cheaper price.

Great value for money hotel but some staff couldn't understand some English so found it a little difficult to communicate some requests. Although all staff were very friendly. As for breakfast it was very satisfying but would be nice to see some more fruit. Overall my stay was great and would highly recommend it.

Toilet bowl and bath tub in the room are dirty, more comfortable to use toilet at the lounge lobby. Room's floor is dirty and chipped. Air-conditioning in the room is not cold.

The staircase to the rooms are too steep and might not be convenient to the elders or kids. But otherwise it is a nice hotel particularly the beautiful landscape.

Our rooms were great. Resort grounds are well looked after. Staff is friendly and helpful. Best location, easy access to Legian St. Only 10 minute walk to either Legian or Kuta. Stayed here last year and have booked for September.

My biggest gripe is the poor access to trips and tours. The person in charge of the tour office spoke very little English and was very short with answers and was no help at all in suggesting tours. There was no map available of the island or town of Kuta. She gave no explanation as to what will be seen on each tour. We were on our own. I cut my stay short.

The only complaint we had was we were not given the right room on arrival but that was changed once i advised the staff. Not enough variety for breakfast the water pressure in shower was not good & we had some mornings with no hot water. But overall good value price was good.

the reception staff is bad, no smile except the duty manager, helpfull. that's is funny, when i went check out, the reception told me to pay surcharge because idul fitri holiday but i wont pay because when i pay this hotel in this site not telling me to pay any surcharge again. This staff hotel is poor, serve guset but not friendly at all!!

Breakfast is very limited, we were given a complimetary drink voucher, what a joke, you have to have it when you purchase a meal and it is for orange juice! what a joke, you get orange juice for breakfast free!! don't buy drinks from any of the bars as they are well over priced.

Winna Holiday Villa Kuta Bali Hotel is located in strategic area, u can walk around 3-5 minutes to see the wonderful beach kuta, around 7-10 minutes to find Hard Rock Cafe, but it's quite far to find the club.At Winna, I have got a Supperior Room, their building is a balinese style not a modern one but, u'll love it for the rate.The breakfast was great, we got american breakfast but, there was no "nasi goreng/fried rice". Wina's facilities like the pool was great and clean, u'll enjoy to take a swim at their pool.finaally, I love it to stay at Wina

We did not get the room we booked; it was very old and dirty. On our arrival they could not find our booking. It smelt in the room, there were cockroaches in the room and de desk clerks did not take our complaints serious. Never ever again in this hotel.

The hotel is currently under renovation, we were first put in a 3rd floor room, which was poorly maintained. the floor was sticky, aircon is lousy, small tv and the the toilet tiles are old n mouldy, the bath tub simply turn us off. The front desk ppl are bad in their english and it's very 'normal' to see no one ard the reception. The driveway to the hotel is small and dark at night, and worst of all, it's the walkway for guest to access to the hotel.

Good location, but need to install directional signs & lighting at the street going to Legian St. An area map would be helpful, too. Buffet is plentiful but has limited choices. The pools are clean, with good ambiance. Overall, its well worth what we paid for.

After reading reviews on this hotel, i tried to change our reservation. I am glad we didnt. There was a room stuff up when we first got there, got 2 single beds instead of a double but the staff got another room ready for us in a hurry. Yes its not modern but, its Bali, not the Gold Coast. In a great location, far enough away from the action but still close enough to enjoy te fun. It is up a alley way but its totally safe. The staff were so friendly, the food was great. The pools awesome. I would definately stay there again.

If possible request a room on the lower level or 2nd floor. The staff are very helpful and work tirelessly to ensure everything is always clean. Breakfast is yum with at least 20 different options. Good accommodation for children should you want to take them!

The bathroom needs a major revamp. The water is salty. The furniture in the room is poor quality. The hotel towel looks like the white colour has now turning almost grey.I lost my black hat. I left it at the lobby when rushing off to get on board the van. When I returned from my tour to check at the reception, they say they don't have anything in loss and found.

Relative to the standard of the hotel and what one might be able to get for the same/similar price in Bali, the rate was expensive. The location was inconvenient and the rooms were not well maintained. Even service at the reception was unlike the typical Balinese hospitality. The pools and grounds of the hotel were good though. Gardens were well landscaped and gave the hotel a resort feel when one stepped out of the room.

Overall I was pleased with Wina. The only disappointment was the bathroom. It had a significant leak from the toilet cistern which flowed across the floor, creating wet areas that you had to stand in. The bath was also below standard. It had obviously been repaired at some stage and the back half of it didnt drain, leaving a pool of water. This was far form satisfactory. The stairs would also be a problem for some people, with rather large steps up in some places. Also lighting was not working at the top of the flight of stairs above the foyer

Good hotel for value they were in the process of ren0vating their rooms and upgrading the pool so it should be even a little better. Close to beach, easy access to shopping areas and dining. Bkft buffets as in most of Bali is simply amazing and delicious.

Basically the hotel was worth for what paid. The beach to hotel way took about 5 mins walk & no street light on night.Its scary & dangerous at night . This should be improved.

I like the fact that the hotel is near the beach, but the alley that we have to take to reach there can be scary especially at night. The room that we had was spacious, but the toilet condition was not so good; the door cannot be locked, the wall didn't look that clean and the sink was clogged (sink was fixed later). But the best part about this hotel is the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. Plus the swimming pool was awesome!

Quite near to the Kuta Beach (about 8 mins walk). For those who like the beach & wind surfing, this is a great place to stay. Hotel rooms are very neat, tidy & clean. The design also resembles the Balinese style. Near to the airport (about 15 mins drive) & also near to the shopping centre (Kuta Square) (about 15 mins walk). Overall, what do I have to say? Overall, we are very happy with our stay at this Hotel. Our room was cleaned. Surrounding also very clean. Good value for money. My rating for this hotel is 9/10. Service and facilities is like four star hotel. We would like to suggest to the hotel management, to put more "road light' along the small path from main road to the Hotel. Because we need to walk few minutes (4-5 minutes) from main road to the Hotel and it is a bit dark at night. It is just for safety reason. We will definetely will choose this hotel for our next visit.

The rooms are dingy with poor daytime lighting and electric lighting. Even worse in the bathroom. The tourist information office didn't even stock a map of Bali.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wina Hotel. The rooms, restaurant and services were all that we required. We enjoyed the quietness of the surroundings, including pool areas etc. and the mix of nationalities staying at the hotel. Previously we have stayed in Legian, so it was nice to stay a bit more central to save a lot of walking to and fro. The transport available to take you to Kuta Square free of charge was a good idea, even tho we only used it on one evening. It was useful to know it was there if needed. Unfortunately the last 3 days of our holiday were disrupted by the bombs. We decided to stay but we were very wary of situation. One concern we do have is that the hotel did not come and let us know of the bombs. It took a friend ringing at 4.45am (Bali time) to see if we were alright, to inform us of the bombs. We did wonder on our way home to NZ why or if the hotels or resorts in Bali let any of their guests know of the situation. But overall we have no complaints of the Wina Hotel

location is good, swimming pools are good. The bar in the smaller pool is great, so is the staff there. The rooms are ok, although the bathrooms are not always clean. Sometimes I see cockroaches in the bathrooms. Then breakfast buffet is not so good, but overall I like to come to this hotel.
