I really enjoyed my stay at White Rose Hotel. I was there with my family. The rooms were clean and big. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very standard with a spread covering Chinese and American. The location is fantastic, very convinient. I will choose this hotel too next time I stay in Kuta....

We had to extend our stay for one night (due to a cancellation of a flight) and had to pay a much higher rate of US$ 90,- after hard nigotiation with the manager. Original rate was US$158,- ! Rating 4* is ok for this area, although we stayed at another hotel hotel on our way back four weeks later - better service, better rate.

We have been to Bali many times and this time, we came during a busy time period (end of Lebaran) and couldn't stay at our usual hotel so we ended up in the White Rose. It wasn't as close to the beach as we had hoped, but most hotels were full and this was a good alternative. The grounds are quite nice and in general it was a good stay. The only bad thing to report was that we had asked for a late checkout since we had a late flight, and the front desk told us (on the day) that we had to vacate by noon. With a 10:20 pm flight, we had no other place to go and this would have been a major inconvenience for our family. We had to complain to the manager to get an extension, and he was able to accommodate us and it all worked out.

I was traveling by myself on this trip, but I definitely recommend this hotel for couples or families. The staff was awesome. Friendly and helpful. The gardens around the hotel were beautifully well-kept. The room was larger than I had expected. The bed was comfortable. Only, very minor, criticism I have is that the bathroom was a little less clean than everything else in the room. It needed a little more cleaning and maintenance done to it. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Bali.

The front desk staff were really rude and unhelpful, despite us having a booking would not give us a room for 2 hours, making us wait despite having travelled the whole day from Lombok to get there, it became dark and mosquitos came out and we got bitten. Once we finaly got the room, they were still trying to sell us transport, and then rang up to say we would have to pay more, despite having already booked with is site and paid, and then that we could only have 1 breakfast, even though we had booked for 2. Also there was ants in our room. its a lot of money for what you get, and the staff are very rude and nasty - do not stay here - there are cheaper places available near by.

Hotel staff was not very friendly. AC did not work, took 3 days to fix. Refused to take credit card as payment. Did not find the usual Asian friendliness. Good location but disappointing comfort.
