I would stay there again, with no doubts. It was worth the price it costed, and we enjoyed our stay very much. It was a very nice hotel, very friendly staff, good location, in a quiet place, but good conected with all the facilities, shops, restaurants... by the free transport of the hotel. The private beach was also really confortable to be, and the beach restaurant had really good food and beverages at good price....

Beautiful design (eco-Balinese style). Quiet area, a bit secluded from the city, but free shuttle service was available at any time. Close to the beach.

The Waka Maya calls itself a "sanctuary resort" and sanctuary it most definitely is! Situated about a kilometre down a narrow winding road, which in some places resembles more of a track than a road, you need to use the hotel's shuttle service to get almost anywhere (eg, shops, restaurants, etc). A 10-minute walk will get you within sight of the ocean (but there's no attractive beach here), with a further 10 - 20 minutes before you can sit down to enjoy a coffee, meal etc at one of the hotels that backs onto the beach. On the positive side, the "sanctuary" is blissfully quiet and the hotel staff cannot do enough to please. The meals were very good. The shuttle service is more or less "at call" and the hotel will even pay for a taxi if the shuttle is not available when you want to go somewhere. If you're looking for somewhere to write that best-seller or perhaps experience monastic life, then the Waka Maya may be just the place!

Comfortable villas at affordable prices. Only disappointment is the distance from the beach and the food.

Friendly staff, quite ambience, nice villa rooms and on the clock free shuttle service to town and beach are the best Waka Maya has offered. We really enjoyed ourselves during the 2 days stayed there. And i would like to thank hotel travel for the marvellous & 24 hours services provided by your staff. I had already recommeded my friends hotel travel for those who are frequent travellers.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel and rooms vastly exceeded our expectations and the staff were polite and kind. The quiet location is great although the beach is a little disappointing. Do try the restaurant - the food is fantastic and very modestly priced. Great value for money.
