We love this place, so much so that we returned here for an additional 2 nights when changed plans took us back to Kuta. We stayed in the Deluxe Bungalow. There was so much room. A bit of a mold problem in the bathroom though.
My only complaint is during check out, we were accused of consuming drinks from the mini bar which we had not done. The previous guest replaced two coke cans with the ones they consumed from the mini bar and the staff had not caught this then and charged me for it.Check-In :

A lovely place to stay and the staff were great! We could have done with more restraunts closer to the hotel, but a short, cheap taxi ride took us to all we needed, with some good places to eat within easy walking distance. The rooms, pool and gardens were great and the breakast and service were second to none. All in all a very nice place to stayStandard of Room

We stayed here in Mid Feb 2012. Overall, a great value for money hotel. Lovely pool, great staff and the rooms were well serviced and clean and tidy mostly. Breakfast was really good too, what I expected, fresh fruit, juice, omlettes and then a Balinese type buffet too. I stayed in a Standard room on the 2nd floor. Hotel was close to amenities such as a drycleaner, beauty salon and convenience store. Breakfast was sufficient and staff always willing to help. My safe in my room wasnt opening so just used safety deposit box at reception which worked out good anyway. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, no transport required after a few drinks with dinner! Free wi fi wasnt always available in my room, but ok in reception. Overall a central place to stay at a reasonable price.Standard of Room

We were travelling with my son (11 months) which meant plenty of bags and stroller etc. but despite requesting a ground floor room we were given a second floor one. When we enquired about this they said there were no rooms available, but when pressed further they said there we ground floor rooms available just not the type we had booked; we then offered to pay the difference ($11 usd online) but were told it would be $55 usd as that was the "walk in" rate, which is crazy. Then we asked to speak to the manager and after another 15 minutes discussion with her we then found out she was not the manager but rather the sales manager and that the hotel manager was not available (no mobile???). Needless to say we did not get a ground floor room but did manage to get moved the next day, fun with so many baby bags! What ever you do do not stay at the Villa Lumbung!!! There are many better places with far better service.Standard of Room

We found the hotel a bit isolated, but there were quite a few good restaurants nearby, especially the H'Dana Japanese restaurant - very good. Needed taxi to get to shops, beach etc.
The pool very nice but not nearly enough lounges for the number of guests. Finding shade was almost impossible as there were too few umbrellas.
Our room on the 3rd floor of a multi block was OK, but not very clean on arrival. However, the staff reponded quickly to our complaints. The bathroom very average and the shower is hand held over the bath - found it very difficult to use.The towels and sheets were clean but grey and old. The block of rooms faces west, so our use of the balcony was restricted to the am as it was impossible to sit out there in the afternoon. after all these negative remarks it must be said that the staff were all very helpful, freindly and pleasant to deal with.
Would we go back there? No.

Absolutely beautiful hideaway resort. Room was beautiful with its own private outdoor bath and shower area. Also had balcony and day bed room. Quiet and tranquil and friendly staff. A little far from the beach but easy to reach shops and restaurants via a cheap taxi or a 10 minute walk. Only let down was staff failed to organise a few bookings we requested, until the last minute, but still very good value for money. We should have made them confirm with us when booking arranged rather than waiting till the next day. Hard to find this quality of accomodation at other better located beach resorts in Bali.Standard of Room
