the hotel Tugu is a very special place - magical setting by the beach, very private with some wonderful personal touches in terms of hotel design and decoration. The flowers that are provided as decoration are quite extraordinary both in the room and with every service that the hotel provides. Extras such as free transport into local areas and free high tea and a wonderful. The service can be friendly but also not very flexible. For example when we wanted a shorter pedicure - one hour rather than two, the hotel was still going to charge us for price. In terms of value for money too there wasn't much flexibility. We have had a wonderful renewal of our ceremony with dinner on the beach, we also stayed three nights at the hotel is so had spent quite a lot of money there. When we asked for late checkout for a friend who was staying with us they charged a small price which I thought was a little mean. Also at our dinner they provided some food late and overcooked but still charged us for it even though we commented on this. These are small points but niggling ones. overall it didn't spoil our 25th wedding anniversary stay at the hotel. The two Tugu is a very special place but it did make us think twice perhaps about staying there again.

Fabulous suite (Rejang) and private dining room (Black Chamber). Food was very good with the exception of the hamburger which should be removed from the menu - it was inedible. Staff was very good and friendly. Had a great 4 days
