Swastika Bungalows is a small resort tucked away under palms just a few hundred meters from Sanur's golden-sand beach and coral-reef lagoon that is an excellent choice in cheaper accommodation when staying on Bali. (The Swastika is an ancient Hindu symbol for prosperity and good fortune and has no connection other than shape / name with the European version / interpretation!)

The staff at this hotel really do make a difference. They are friendly and happy to help. A couple of bad points, no shower curtain in the bathroom which meant that water went everywhere. The restaurant does not serve evening meals and the breakfast organisation and finish time were irregular. There are a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance from the bungalows. All in all a great little budget hotel. We would definitely stay here again and freely recommend it to others. Great value for money!...

I enjoyed the nice family atmosphere. Staff and also other guest were very friendly, nobody disturbed somebody else. The place is very convenient for families with kids.

The roof was infested with termite i guess as wood particles keep dripping onto the bed below. Butthe staff did not notice it and only changed the bedsheet. Did not try their breakfast though as i stayed only 2 nights. Plenty of good food on the street within walking distance.Did not use the faclities. But the staff were very friendly.You might want to try the breakfast at Gazebo hotel beachfront, very nice, not too far just across the street 10mins walk.

The pool was lovely and the plants around it and the walkways were all well tended. This is our main memory. The room was a little dark and the bathroom also dark and damp but all in all not too bad. We'd go back for the pool alone!
