On the first day of arrival, I was disappointed with the hotel because of my request was double bed, and what I receive was 3 single bed. The next day they change my room as what I requested. Other than that, all the environment and facilities are good. This is a good hotel to stay and my family enjoyed too.

We stayed 4 nights here at the begining of our 16 days being our first time in Bali, a hard act to follow as this was the nicest place to stay and from then on our accommodation went down hill big time. Would only go back to Bali to stay here but dont want to go back other wise. Great place and really nice food staff were great and the place was clean and very well kept.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for a relatively quiet location at the southern end of Bali. It is a large hotel with all the commensurate services and facilities. The buffet breakfast impressed our 8-year-old children no end and catered for most tastes. Otherwise, we mostly ate beyond the hotel, which at this location was very easy to do. The pool was probably the highlight for us because there was enough designated space for the children to play ball games and not bother other guests. This was welcome after a more 'adventurous' trip in the North West. If you are looking for a low key but 'westernised' venue for the kids to eat hamburgers and wear it off playing water polo and etc for a few days, then this is the right place to go to.

I was extremely pleased with every aspect of our stay at Hotel Sanur Beach. I expected the rooms to be old and tired based upon reviews from prior visitors; however, I found everything in our room to be of good quality. I liked the view from our balcony; we stayed in the part of the hotel that looks like an "M", but I don't know the name of this particular "wing". I would advise people to request a room in this section because the views are much nicer and it is much closer to the swimming pool and restaurant. Furthermore, we checked out the other hotels along Sanur Beach and found this hotel to be far superior to every other place with regards to the landscaping, and especially the location of the pool alongside the beachfront. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I ever return to Bali.

The HotelTravel website and people were great. Quick responses. I had read on line comments about the rooms being tired and they are in need of remodel. The outside facilities are amazing. The best thing about this hotel are the people. Not only friendly but also they have a grand desire to go beyond in customer service. I recommend the breakfast buffet. We looked forward each morning to the massive array of selections. Great beach. Great pools. I also recommend you sign up for both of the dance and dinner shows the hotel offers. It was delightful.

Our 5th Visit to Sanur Beach. The facilities are excellent the staff are very friendly and welcoming and absolutely wonderful and the breakfast is amazing! It really is great value for money. The rooms do need a bit of updating although the hotel is gradually in the process of doing this we believe, but the rest makes up for this anyway.

We went to the Hotel for honeymoon. We believed we had made a right choice. There are many good things that we shall always remember, including friendly staff, delicious breakfast, nice beach view, great swimming pool and beautiful setting. The hotel offers free shuttle van to and fro the market, which is very convenient. The price is affordable. And the restaurant and post office next door are very convenient. The only thing that the hotel needs to do is get rid of the sugar ants in the room. You don't want to drink from the kettle where the ants swim as if they are in a 5-star pool.

Restaurants within the hotel was outrageously expensive and therefore the restaurants are always quiet. Management should rethink & reprice if they want more of the people to eat within the hotel.

Excellent beach location: very clean sand and sea, but very many people and not anouth umbrellas for protect from sun. But it is only one minus of this hotel. I was really glad to stay 9 nights in Sanur Beach Hotel.

This hotel is great value for money with very good facilities and an excellent location right on the beach. The staff were very friendly & the service was fantastic.Our only comment was the rooms are a little dated but still clean & serviceable. The buffet breakfast is a must! All in all this hotel does represent the really good value for the money, which you would go a long way to do better.

Think the 5 star rating may be a bit optomistic - the room we stayed in was looking a little tired and the balcony opened onto a large air conditioner unit that went 24/7. But the grounds/pool areas/bars/resturants/location etc. etc. well and truly made up for the lackings in accomodation - they were first rate - and hey, how much time do you spend in your room anyway!

The grounds are excellent, the pool is one of the most clean and beautiful we have seen in a long time,plenty of sun lounges,breakfast was very tasty and huge variety,free internet in the loby.Plumbing in the rooms is a bit old,rooms reqiure referbishment,but it didn't bother us much.Overall we can recommend this hotel to anyone and we certainly will be back .Top hotel and service for a very reasonable price

This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and we will definitely stay there when we next go to Bali. The standard of service from all the staff we used was excellent and they were always very accomodating with anything we required. There were 5 of us in 3 rooms so we had a varying range of requests over the 2 weeks we stayed and had no problems with the staff or the facilities. The only down side, and this is a problem all over Bali at the moment, was the cost of imported alcohol. This just means we drank the locally made drinks which were a bit stronger than we are used to. Our favourite part about the hotel, apart from the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, is the bamboo bar, which is wonderfully situated by the beach with great staff, with an excellent trio of performers singing for us every evening for an hour. My family and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the Bali experience without the constant hustle and bustle and hassle of Kuta. We look forward to returning again in the future.

The hotel room was dirty, cracked wash basin and even cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, The bar service was very poor with virtually all the staff we encountered just ignoring us. We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and not once were we able to get a sun lounger by the pool or even on the beach as they were 'reserved' with hotel towels very early in the mornings. Breakfast was also very poor. I certainly would not recommend the Hotel and to be honest the experiece has put us both off ever visiting Bali again.

Built in the mid-1970s, the resort shows telltale signs of age despite periodic refurbishing/expansion. However, its location right on Sanur Beach is excellent and it occupies pole position on Jl. Danau Tamblingan with its many shops, eating places etc. Unlike more upscale hotels in Nusa Dua and Jimbaran (which are expensive tourist enclaves), Sanur Beach Hotel offers greater opportunities for interaction with the surrounding community (and better bargains as a result). Ideal for repeat visitors to Bali who are more comfortable getting around. The resort caters primarily to older clients in keeping with Sanur's more sedate ambience. Younger visitors are advised to seek lodgings in Kuta and surrounding areas. A broad range of activities is available on premises - swimming (Olympic sized pool), yoga, tennis, aquatic sports, spa treatments, guided biking trips etc. A tour operator and a banking outlet are also available at the lobby. Not a bad deal for USD 90.00/night.

The location was excellent, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. been met at the airport was wonderful after a long haull flight. We will definitly return to the Sanur Beach hotel.

Excellent pool(s) right on the beach. Great location if you want to be away from the hectic life at Kuta. There is some life here though, so I disagree with the person who described it as a 'ghost town'. Only down-side for me is that the people who stay here are almost all in their middle to late age i.e. not a place for young couples or younger set.

Small size superior room. Bath room is also very small. Garuda wing superior room is littel tired. But 2 big swimming pool in front of the beach is excellent. Breakfast is average. Only one free shuttle to kuta an day 10am return 5pm.

I liked it for this location at Sanur. It was just a short walk to a variety of F&B outlets. Not much interesting shopping to do there though. The hotel's breakfast buffet can get crowded on weekends and the staff appear unable to cope. We did not encounter any touts at the beach which was very good.

Hotel is located in Sanur area. If you are looking for a good retreat, this may be a suitable hotel. This is definitely not a place for the yuppies- most occupants were retirees when my family was there.

The hotel was ideal for a relaxing break. It was quiet yet lots of activities available. Pools were excellent -- lots of room, well maintained, and with two there was a natural separation of noisier family pool and quieter adult pool. Beach was clean; staff very friendly; felt secure; and buffet breakfast was very good. Good value!
