This is a great hotel - I have stayed there 3 times now and will keep going back. Everything is clean and if you have any problems, the staff will go out of their way to help you. The first night, I found my bed a bit too hard and the airconditioning unit a bit noisy - I mentioned it to housekeeping and by the time I got back to my room later that day I had a new mattress on the bed and a brand new airconditioning unit installed! They will do anything to make you comfortable and it is such a good value hotel. The pools are excellent and the beauty spa is as good if not better than the spas out...

Room was of adequate size, though in need of a good clean and a bit of a decor update.Though it was only really used for sleeping, this was not much of an issue.

Jayakarta Bali Beach Resort is situated in an excellent location backing right on to Legian beach and close to shopping, bars and restaurants. The resort itself has beautiful gardens, 3 swimming pools, sun lounges, 3 restaurants and also offers free shuttles to Kuta a few times a day. The staff were always friendly and willing to assist with anything. Our deluxe room was clean and fairly spacious with a cute little courtyard to sit outside. Overall we had a great stay at Jayakarta and will definitely be returning on our next visit to Bali!

Even after checking the box that asked if you wanted a ground floor and double bed on arrival we were given our key and pointed in the direction of a room with 3 beds in it. I asked to be given a room with a double which we got, but it over looked the building site of the hotel next door so all you heard if you sat outside was banging and drilling all day long. I asked to be moved yet again and was put on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Not What I wanted At All!!! The staff were a mix of pleasant and couldn't care less. I found the staff at reception indifferent to requests and not willing to assist. The room itself was in great need of an update at least 5 years ago, in saying that they were at least clean. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Over all we were disappointed in our stay and would not recommend anyone to stay there or go back ourselves.

My husband and I found the Jayakarta to be everything we were expecting. We knew it was a large family style hotel resort and that was exactly what we got. Our deluxe room was overlooking beautiful gardens, was centrally located in the resort close to the quieter pool and the room itself was totally quite. The bathroom could do with some updating but was clean and had everything in it that we needed (note no hairdryer though, but we took our own). The television wasn't the greatest, but who sits in their room watching TV in Bali? The main breakfast restaurant was disappointing and considering our rate included daily breakfast, we were hoping for more from our service, and we often felt like cattle being shooed though the yards. The 2nd smaller restaurant near the smaller pool was fantastic, serving the same breakfast but with better service and no long waits or the feeling like you had to get in and get out quick. The reception staff and concierge were great. The location and feeling of security was what we found the best.We are going back next year to Bali and would stay there again. This time we'll take our 8 year old son, as he'd love the family environment. The Jayakarta is perhaps not the best hotel for older couples or anyone after the boutique resort experience

I have stayed at the Jayakarta serveral times before. I have found it to be a clean hotel with a convenient location. Staff are friendly and hopeful. The rooms are a little outdated and could do with refurbishing.

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times but it has never been as full as it was this year, we had to wait for food to come out at breakfast time (every morning) no matter what time we went down. The noise level was unbelievable as in every morning we were woken at 4.00 - 5.00am with kids running up and down the hallway. When we asked to move rooms they only had twin beds available (not good enough). I suggest that they put all couples in one area and all familys with children in another. We spoke to a few people at the hotel who said that they would not be staying there again and neither will we.

Jayakarta was one of three resorts we stayed at during our visit to Bali to attend a family wedding, but I found the resort size meant a less personal experience with Staff. Room facilities, whilst clean and adequate, were quite western. Location to restaurants along the beach & shopping - great. But BINTANG drinkers be warned!!!Very expensive at the resort's bar & restaurant where a large bottle was rup74,000 with tax!!!! Signs warned outside food & drinks not allowed. But sunsets were gorgeous from the beach!

Service and hospitality excellent. We were afforded every courtesy by freindly easy natured staff. The food was excellent. If there was one small drawback it was that the wine and beverage listings were limited in choice and stock.

Stayed in 1bdrm apartment which gives you a lot more space in your room. 3 pools available at the hotel which increases your chances of getting a sunbed which is good. Gardens are well kept and staff are friendly. Only issue is they are building another hotel next door so if you like to have a day sleep or sleep in in the morning then this is not possible with the noise.

Big hotel, plenty of pools, plenty of space, excellent breakfast options-hot and cold. Good security- quiet at night but close(stumbling distance) to restaurants(The Lanai was our fave), cafes and heaps of shopping. We took our 3 young kids and we all felt safe- no dramas at all. The rooms are tired(mould in all 4 bathrooms that we stayed in -on the ceiling and some walls) and despite using this website and multiple mails they still didn't get the rooms right- 1 bed short and family separated on 2 different floors- sorted out for the next night though. You have to expect this in Indo and go with the flow. I would stay here again as it has a really nice ambience about it.

Our room was clean our bed was comfortable but the furniture was a bit worn. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was a long way from pool and restaurant. Hotel common area was good and all staff very friendly and helpful. Only swam once in 7 days as pool was very cold in August. Had breakfast included in our deal but was average at best didn't even bother 3 days. Only thing worth having was the fresh cooked omelets but as only 2 were cooked at a time and everyone else had the same idea the queue and the wait was lengthy. Also did the cultural dinner which was a bit disappointing. Overall good location, average room, good service and poor food.

We stayed in the apartments & not the main hotel. Our 1 room apartment was comfortable & clean but located right at the front of the complex lacked atmosphere. Staff were functional & helpful but lacked the usual Bali cheery spark. Located at the top end of Kuta it was a taxi ride to Kuta central - all of $2.20Aus. However there are plenty of good, well-priced restaurants - $16Aus for 2 for 2 courses & 2 drinks each - & a good variety of shops to buy just about anything. The 3 pools are great & the beach is right outside. So the location is just perfect for a typical Bali holiday.

It was a nice a leisurely stay, and I'm glad tourism has really picked up in Bali again. My biggest complaint however is that the room we were in, although it had a great view overlooking the pool and the ocean, it was pretty loud at night.

The aircon did not work properly so was quite uncomfortable at night, but overall, for the price, the hotel was not too bad. I had room 443, then moved to 545 where the aircon was an improvement.

3 lovely pools to swim in; beautifully kept gardens; perfectly adequate 1 bedroom apartment;friendly, helpful staff; nice restaurant by the pool; food nicely presented, but a bit limited. I felt very safe inside the walls of this large hotel complex- even had security at the gates.

I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling with children also - I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and would not hesitate to have them at this hotel - there are 3 different pools, a kids play area - plenty of room for them to run around without disturbing other guests and there are great restaurants, shops etc all within easy walking distance.

The hotel staff were generally helpful (though there were 1 or 2 who didn't quite seem like they cared) and we managed to get many useful tips on transport, local cuisine and shopping. The hotel was also spacious with ample facilities - the spa was affordable and enjoyable. Best part was the beach was right next to the hotel, hence we had breakfast by the sea every morning. Security was also good. Only thing is the rooms need an upgrading - there were many mosquitoes and everything seemed kinda old.

Room was just very average - nothing special at all, TV was on the blink, no hot water...Location was sort of nowhere, 1/2 between Legian & Seminyak with not much in area. Beach area was not very nice, quite dirty. Generally the hotel was not very well kept, furniture was old, pool was not 100% clean, pool tables etc were broken. Upside was a resturant call Yutz just outside the hotel.
