This was my 5th trip to Bali and wanted somewhere to stay that was not close to the bustle of Kuta but that region as I was traveling with a first timer. Putu is a traditional Balinese facility with beautiful Balinese people that run it. Front desk runs 24/7 so any problems are attended to immediately.Getting around is simple. Inexpensive taxi ride at any time of the day or night or if you feel gutsy, hire a motor bike. It is safe as long as you pay attention and give everyone a fair go.
Putu Bali Villa and Spa is not extravagant facility if that is what you are looking for, but it is a beaut...

Putu Bali Villa & Spa is an excellent 3 star resort. We (a partyof 4) stayed in the family pavilion, which had two single beds on the lower floor and a double bed on the upper floor. We especially loved the huge outdoor bathroom downstairs and the extremely friendly staff at this hotel. They really did everything they can to make us feel comfortable! Shops and restaurants are all just outside the hotel and lots of famous places like KuDeTa and Hu'u bar are withing walking distance.
All in all, I would definitly recommend this hotel to all travellors who like to avoid the big fancy international chain hotel and prefer a more private little place to stay.
