Nice clean refurbished hotel, close to beach restaurants and shops. Lots of Australian guests. Tea and coffee provided in rooms, and cooled water. Recently stayed at Puri Raja for holiday, Hotel is in good location with a good range of restaurants and shopping all within a easy walk from hotel.Taxis and transport available from front entrance to Kuta ,about $3.00.Pools are well maintained,one with swim up bar.Rooms are good size with air con.Overall a good place for the price,would recommend for couples and familys.

Rooms off a lush, tropical treed walkway. Separate entrances with either a balcony or a patio - nice to sit outside. A friendly atomosphere. Good for families, couples or mature travellers wanting quiet but still central accomodation away from the touristy/party atmosphere of Kuta. Would stay here again.

Puri Raja is a typical 3 star resort, I was dissapointed in the breakfasts as every other place we have stayed in has a buffet breakfast where you can choose what you want to eat and if it's an American breakfast you watch it get cooked. At Puri Raja, you have to order your meal, they bring it out to you and it's usually cold by the time you get it especially the toast. Also the serves are very small and they don't allow you to order anymore. The rooms are clean and cleaned every day, no different to many of the other motels around, the pools are small and I think because of that, the water is always warm which is not refreshing in that climate. I can't really complain other than the food thing, although we were there for the NYEPI holiday and tourists are not allowed out, they had a compulsory dinner at the motel which cost us RP135.000 and it was disgusting, the food was cold, there were flies in the salads, and you just couldn't eat it, which was bad because we were'nt allowed out to get food anywhere else. I probably wouldn't stay there again but only because of the food, if that was better, then Puri Raja would be the place to stay as it is not too far to walk to Kuta, but far enough away to be a bit quiter, clean, well presented etc.

Clean and modern rooms, friendly staff. Great location if you're wanting to be close enough to the action in Kuta, yet far enough away that you can relax and take some time out. This hotel is excellent value for money. Loved the breakfast at Sunset restaurant overlooking Legian Beach!
