Rated #105 for all Bali hotels
This hotel is a great place for a romantic holiday. It is so quiet and tranquil. The gardens are lush and tropical and the staff are all friendly but not in your face - like some in other hotels in Bali. The hotel prices to eat and drink were excellent as well as the prices for their massages and other services. We stayed in a deluxe room which was immaculately clean. The air conditioner was good and kept us cool as it was so humid outside. I would reccommend this hotel to couples for the peace and quiet offered. I wouldn't stay here with kids though as it is a bit too quiet. ...

The access road leading to the hotel is very narrow. It is dangerous to walk in and out of the hotel because the road is not lit and very dark. Otherwise, the hotel is quite a good bargain and good value for money.

The petite hotel is almost heaven-like. I must say it is more of a initimate resort rather than a formal hotel. Everything from the moment you step into the hotel you can feel the relaxing and soothing atmosphere. The staff of the hotel is super-efficient and reallly professional in their jobs, always putting on a smile on their face. The only thing about this resort is it is not in or near any shopping or entertainment place, but hey that's what make it so intimate, right in the middle of a small village, that's what make the experience staying here more authentic.
A word of caution, if you plan to walk to Jimbaran late evening or night time, remember to bring a torch.

Really very great stay at the Puri Bambu. But i did my best to spend the least time in the hotel...Very clean hotel, excellent gardens, good for a couple, maybe not so good for families with kids. Relaxing kind of spot. Nice pool, decent breakfast, just a bit monotone having the same every single morning. Don't eat at the hotel restaurant too much. Just about 400m down the road is Jimbaran with tons of restaurants with bloated prices. Talk down the price always, unless you feel it's ok of course. Several things I'd like to mention as a caveat to next visitors. First of all, every single night you will be woken up a couple of times by the taking off or a landing of a plane. The airport is really close...Also maybe an occasional dog barking or a rooster mistaking 4am for 6am...Most of the staff will use any chance they get of being around you alone to "offer you his services as a guide". Do not take it. The truth is they are all trying to make money and they will NEVER give you an offer as good as the local tours. In the lobby you can pick up tons of booklets with plenty of info on daily tours and when you call them do not forget to always talk down the price. Whatever price you see, be sure you can get it down about 20%. This is true for anything you will buy in Bali but for the tours they really can't go much too low from what they already offer. If you gonna bring foreign currency make it euro, much better value. Never change your money on the street. The shuttle service from the hotel is good with the 3 times a day drive to kuta beach. Internet is slow like it's 1999...again! The tv channel selection in the room is poor. But i guess that helps staying out longer and finding interesting ways to fill the time after you decide to get back in the room...The bed was a little less then average...Ok so after all that i guess it doesn't sound like such a great place but it really is...somehow...just don't stay there all the time. when you want to really recharge your batteries and take it easy, it's great. then head over to see some of the great things Bali offers, Uluwatu, Ubud, Tanah Lot, Kuta, really plenty of stuff to see. In the morning enjoy the pool with a cocktail and then head out. People are very polite and always with a smile on and if you need something just ask they will try their best. The massage service is nothing to brag about. The women talk to each other, LOUDLY, the entire time, unless you ask them several times to "please be quiet" and then they just touch your body without any pressure whatsoever so you feel like someone was just petting you instead of massaging you...but i guess it's cheap enough for such a poor massage...some recommended activities: water rafting, parasailing, bungy jumping, dolphin seeing, kecak dance, scuba!, surf on padang-padang beach...all in all great time in bali and puri bambu is a decent hotel with a 7 out of 10 IMHO

Good value for the money. Room and pool was much nicer than expected for $35USD/night. Walk to beach is short but along a busy, narrow road. With the exception of the pool bartender, assistance/response from hotel staff was poor.

The room was large and very private. The hotel restaurant was extremely reasonably priced and the walk to the magnificent beachside seafood restaurants was flat and it took about 3 minutes to walk there. The road is narrow and dark so a torch is recommended. It is approximately the same distance to the main street and a small supemarket. The hotel gardens are very pretty and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful. Internet access is cheap, fast and private.Older/infirm guests may have difficulty accessing the restaurant which is up a spiral staircase.

This is the best bargain in Jimbaran. It may not be on the beach, but the walk is short and the rooms are massive.

Superior rooms are very comfortable. Decoration could be improved by one or two additional balinese paintings and more powerfull ligghts. Otherwise, excellent service, excellent restaurant, beautifull pool perfectly clean. Excellent value for money.
The only bad point, as you may read on comments made by other clients, is the real lack of light on the public street leading to / from the beach located at 400 m from the hotel.
However, several seafood restaurants located on the beach offer a free shuttel back to the hotel after diner.

It's a nice hotel.Quiet enviroment, nice pool, beautiful garden. The hotel location is a little remote. Our taxi drivers always looked for the hotel hardly. The massage service is worse. Some massagist has bad massage skill and rude. It's a short distance from Jimbaran beach. But the street to the beach is not clean enough.

It is a good value for the Jimbaran area. The walk to the beach is only a few minutes and the seafood warungs nearby are excellent. Amenities are average, but the rooms are large and the service is wonderful.
