The hotel was the best of three, where we stayed in Bali. The location is great for quiet and relaxing vacations. The territory of the hotel is quite big, very greenish and decorated in traditional Balinese architecture. Access to the sea is limited, there is no sand beach neither on the territory nor nearby. But in 20 minutes by car or motorbike there is a great, white sand beach with coral reefs. Bungalows are spacious and comfortable. Sunsets are amazing! The massage specialist is very professional and Balinese massage is worth a try!

the best place in witch we have been in bali, a little far if you don't have a car but a really good place to start visiting the east and north of bali. the main point service is one of the best i have ever seen, and the restaurants are just great.

Absolutely fabulous, only fault was the hot breakfast food was only warm!

The things we really liked about the hotel where that the gounds were pretty and well kept, and the spa was really beautiful and the services there a good value. We also enjoyed the gazebos overlooking the water. There are several of them and we were always able to find one to have to ourselves. Most of the staff was very friendly with only a few notable exceptions at the front desk. We were celebrating our anniversary and the resort manager took special care to prepare a flower strewn table for us with a nice cake and candles for dessert. Unfortunately most of the food was not above average. The fish and seafood dishes were always overcooked and the breakfast was the same every day, basically good food, but after 5 nights we were tired of the offerings. The biggest drawback to this hotel is that it is almost a mile from the main road but the hotel offers no transport except a shuttle that costs $3 and is only available from 10am till noon each day. We spent a lot of money on transport, especially when it rained and the roads leading out of the hotel were deep puddles. There are also people disturbing you while you are on hotel property in the gazebos and they will engage you in long conversations in order to sell something - while you are obviously reading or napping. The pool is rather small and was usually crowded since the beach is very small too. We also thought the rooms were kind of dark and uninviting, though we loved the outdoor balinese style bathrooms! Though we enjoyed our vacation, I think we would stay at a different hotel in Candidasa next time.

if you are looking for a nice relaxing time, away from everything, book puri bagus. but watch out, don't book it for too long or you might get bored... but then again, there are many activities and day tours you can do... pool in the hotel isn't the greatest I've seen, and the bar in the pool doesn't operate... simply, cause there are not enough people to be served... btw. there isn't a proper beach right in the front of the hotel.. you can still swim in the ocean, but don't expect lying on the beach...

We had a fabulous time at Puri Bagus. Very good value for money, good location, quiet, lovely view etc. Staff very attentive, in one word, great. It is a quiet place, not much going on in the Candidasa area, but that is why we chose it.

I stayed here for a week with family and girlfriend. I am totally impressed by the service that they provide and the quality of the resort. I would highly recommend this place for the following: Resting in a peaceful environment. Do not go there if you want to party or meet people but for everything else it's perfect. Some tips. The hotel price for touring are a bit more expansive that what you could get in the city (10mn walk). It totally worth it to get a driver in the small village.You can also rent a bike for 50 000IDR per day just outside the resort. Regarding the massage, we took those from the spa in the hotel, after they offer a promotion package (3rd day of our stay) and it was awesome. You could find much cheaper massage in the city or even on the beach as some people walk by and offer good price but honestly the spa is a lot more relaxing and professional. If you go shopping do not be afraid to bargain. Most, if not all, the shop over price their products. You might not want to bargain for small items but you have to for anything exceeding 300 000 IDR. The worst for tourist would be the wood sculpture or paint. We got something like 70% discount on some expansive items. A driver for the day cost around 300 000IDR depending were you go. There is a very nice white sand beach 5km from the resort. The beach is awesome to snorkel. Some of the local would offer to bring you by boat dont.(rent a bike instead) as it's pricy and you will need to leave after 2-3 hours. Last thing the swimming pool is a bit small but there is a small beach at the resort itself and you can swim easily there. My favorite things in this hotel was the little chalet on the cottage which let you enjoy the sea view and fresh air while being comfortably installed. Perfect to read a book and fall asleep at the sound of waves.

Anything occur when i plan to visit your place-candidasa bagus.

the location is fantastic.the ocean front room has a beautiful view of the water.we have bee to Bali five times but this was our first visit to candi dasa and we loved it. Only a short walk to the village and reasonably priced meals and spa services.we hope to return.Two weeks would most likely be enough.

The staff was really nice, kind and helpful at all times. The garden is absolutely wonderful and the Balé beds are perfect for relaxation with incredible ocean view. Very happy about our stay in Puri Bagus. We will go back for sure.
