Stayed here Apirl 2012 with a friend. Standard room was lovely - clean, plenty of space, lots of english channels (including movies) available on the tv.
Breakfast is decent - fresh fruit, egg station, cereal, a few indonesian selections, and standard british/american fare. The pool is lovely, with the swim up bar, and you are right on the beach so while swimming you look out onto the ocean. The staff here were also amazing - very attentive and friendly. Amazing value for the price. Would definately recommend. Location is great as well. You walk straight out onto the beach to heaps of restaurants and bars.Hotel Facilities

It was my 5th time in Bali but first time stay in Seminyak (Usually we stay at Nusa Dua which is way way way way way nicer) We stayed at the hotel from 1st February to 6th February 2012. The hotel itself is quite nice and simple. The receptionists are polite but should be more friendly though. What I like about the hotel is the simplicity and it has a gym spa (the spa is expansive though. You can get massage with only 20 of the price youre paying at the hotel). It is a beach-front hotel but unfortunately when we were there, the beach is not beautiful, not in good condition even as apparently it is during raining season. Kuta Beach is way nicer and cleaner. The food is not good as I've expected. But they have quite nice swimming pool area. We had a surprise when the hotel put a small pot of flowers and a letter to congratulate my husband on our 2nd wedding anniversary. I think that was very sweet and kind of them. Overall, the hotel is nice to stay. I would give 3 stars. The nicest people at the hotel are the security guards.Hotel Facilities

Then we asked to change room from twin to double and in the new room there was an extra bed already and they didn’t charge for that. The beach is crowded and very filthy. We had a superior deluxe room which was lovely and roomy and we also saw one of the standard rooms which looked just fine. It was fun to be in a nice hotel, with a great location that was not too overpriced. You didn't have to worry that your drinks at the bar were going to cost you too much, the entire hotel was quite chilled out. The only negative I have is that the breakfasts were very, very average. This was our first stay at the Pelangi Hotel in Seminyak. The location was great. It has back beach exit which also leads to a few great restaurants. Walk to the left upon exiting, walk about 10 min. The Zanzibar was excellent. The shopping nearby was also great. A variety of Boutique style stores with fixed prices, although if you ask they may still give a discount, as well as many smaller stalls where bartering is the go. The Hotel also offers free shuttle bus transport 4 times a day to Kuta. If you wish to go further just catch a "Bluebird Taxi" from Kuta to your destination. We also had our own driver "Charlie" who took us to see Kintimanie Volcano, Balinese Dance, Ubud Markets, Ubud Temple & Batk & Silver Factories (where you can buy locally crafted goods). All in all a very enjoyable holiday with fantastic service, great location, walking access to Legian and Kuta and very friendly and genuine staff. Highly recommended.Hotel Facilities

The Pelangi hotel is great value for your aussie dollar.
The room was great, balcony very small - one person only.
The food available was very poor, but eating out is a must in Bali. The room was perfect and good size, the pool is great but space is limited around the pool area and not enough sun beds to accomodate everyone.
The staff are fantastic and very helpful.
From the front of the hotel the beach is great and a 400 metre walk left will get you to double six road.

Great location! The restaurant location, with ocean view was wonderful! The upstairs terrace is beautiful at night! The pool was great and the staff were so friendly, and would do anything for you! The pool area was clean and well maintained!
If you like to sit outside of your room, I would pick the second floor, as the have nice balconies. The main floor really has no where to sit, it does have sliding door into the garden, but it is just a walkway with some grass.
We found that the prices in the hotel were very expensive and all you had to do was to leave the hotel and walk around the corner and get a massage or laundry service for much , much less than the hotel. We also went out side for the tours, as they have a group across the street that book at 1/2 the price. Of course it would be you, or your group in a taxi, rather than a bus. Kanti was wonderful and took us so many places.
Alot of nightclubs and restaurants along the main road, but we preferred d the nice ones in Kuta, or ones with a beach view.

this hotel is not 4 star if you think you are getting good deal forget it,just came home from bali ,stayed in 3 hotels 2, 3 stars and this one 4 star never have i been more disappointede and that was the end of my holiday though i will treat myselve to a bit more luxus but no,you could not go down to the beach before you had 10 people around you try to sell something and they dident take no for and answer the beach was so dirty so if you went for a swim you were covered in plastik bags,the room were so small and no place to put a chair outside,nothing to do for the kids,its looks god in photo,but beware its not what u seeHotel Facilities

What a fabulous hotel! The pool was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the staff were so kind and friendly, and the beach was literally a step out of the hotel.
The front desk staff are honest and trustworthy, and they can and will arrange anything you need.Breakfast buffet was great, a mix of western and Indonesian foods, and the swim up bar in the pool was fantastic.Far enough away from Kuta to avoid noisy young kids being drunk and rowdy, but close enough to walk along the beach to Kuta in about 30 mins. Cheap to get to and from Kuta by meter taxi, but the hotel also has a free shuttle to Kuta 4 times a day.
A nice quiet location.If i ever go back to Bali, this is where i'll stay, no question.Hotel Facilities
