Stayed here Apirl 2012 with a friend. Standard room was lovely - clean, plenty of space, lots of english channels (including movies) available on the tv. Breakfast is decent - fresh fruit, egg station, cereal, a few indonesian selections, and standard british/american fare. The pool is lovely, with the swim up bar, and you are right on the beach so while swimming you look out onto the ocean. The staff here were also amazing - very attentive and friendly. Amazing value for the price. Would definately recommend. Location is great as well. You walk straight out onto the beach to heaps of restaurants and bars.

Great location and wonderful setting makes this a top place to stay. Our original room was a little musty, but we were moved to a new room without any dramas. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only slight annoyance was the lack of WiFi in the room. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Seminyak.

Lovely Balinesian style hotel 10 feet from the beach and amazing sunsets. Clean, simple and friendly. Not a huge resort, everything you need set out amongst beautiful gardens. Pool and restaurant all facing the beach. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Located with beach and Warungs on one side and restaurants and shops on the other. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall budget hotel. Room was clean, breakfast was ok, have had better. A bit out of the way if you don't have a bike but they do have a shuttle bus. Next time I would like a bit more luxury. Surroundings were good for the price.

It was my 5th time in Bali but first time stay in Seminyak (Usually we stay at Nusa Dua which is way way way way way nicer) We stayed at the hotel from 1st February to 6th February 2012. The hotel itself is quite nice and simple. The receptionists are polite but should be more friendly though. What I like about the hotel is the simplicity and it has a gym spa (the spa is expansive though. You can get massage with only 20 of the price youre paying at the hotel). It is a beach-front hotel but unfortunately when we were there, the beach is not beautiful, not in good condition even as apparently it is during raining season. Kuta Beach is way nicer and cleaner. The food is not good as I've expected. But they have quite nice swimming pool area. We had a surprise when the hotel put a small pot of flowers and a letter to congratulate my husband on our 2nd wedding anniversary. I think that was very sweet and kind of them. Overall, the hotel is nice to stay. I would give 3 stars. The nicest people at the hotel are the security guards.

We didn't expect much and we were satisfied what we got. At first, they asked 30USD for child’s extra bed! Then we asked to change room from twin to double and in the new room there was an extra bed already and they didn’t charge for that. The beach is crowded and very filthy. Some good warungs on the beach to have a nice meal. Chirinquito right outside the hotel area was our favorite. The food in the hotel is expensive and not so tasty. Breakfast included was quite ok.

Love the pool and the pool bar, most of the staff were really nice, most knew my boyfriend and I by name. The room service food was okay, not too bad. Location wise, a bit far from the main roads, about 10-15 minutes. Will stay there again for sure.

A great location, right on the beach. Deluxe rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Good restaurant, pool and bar facilities. A good value for money option for those who want to stay right on the beach yet not break the bank.

This was a great hotel to stay in as it was in a great location, reasonably priced and the staff were all nice and friendly. We had a superior deluxe room which was lovely and roomy and we also saw one of the standard rooms which looked just fine. It was fun to be in a nice hotel, with a great location that was not too overpriced. You didn't have to worry that your drinks at the bar were going to cost you too much, the entire hotel was quite chilled out. The only negative I have is that the breakfasts were very, very average. I refused to eat there (even though it was included) after the second morning. This would not put me off staying here again though. Happy customer.

This hotel is not new, but has a great location right on the beach. There is a pool area with bars, restaurant and sun liunges where you can sit and gaze over the beach below. Or, you can step down to the beach for a nice Nasi Goreng at one of the adjacent local restaurants. The main shops of Seminyak are just a short walk up the street. The in-house food is very good (both restaurant and room service). I have only one piece of constructive criticism - please get a decent coffee machine !

This is the second time I have stayed in Seminyak, but my first stay at Pelangi Bali Hotel and I am hoping it wont be my last! The staff were very friendly, helpful and always smiling. The location right on the beach was perfect and you are far enough away from the hussle and bussle, to really enjoy your stay. The resort itself is beautiful and the rooms have everything you really need (except a safe box unfortunately.) Overall I was very happy with the choice in accomodation. Pelangi, I'll be back!

We stayed in a Deluxe Room which was very spacious, nice big bathroom. The hotel was clean, service was great, staff very friendly. For approx $110 a night this hotel was great for our budget. There were always spare lounge chairs at the pool. This is a basic hotel - but the standard was great.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and intend to return this Christmas for two weeks. The staff are friendly, the views onto the beach are great,prices are kept reasonable within the hotel. The rooms are very clean, staff clean every day, and nothing is too much trouble. Couples not wanting to party all the time will enjoy the peace here as well as the many options for eating and shopping.

This was a nice hotel. Location right on beach in Seminyak. If I went backt to Seminyak I would stay here again. Note to future travelers, Bali is very very busy. If your looking for that postcard vacation and complete R&R Bali is not your place. We traveled a lot Indonesia and Lombok is beautiful. Its more of the beautiful scence and idea I imagined about my trip.

We were in a standard room on the first floor - a larger balcony would have been good. The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly and the location ideal being only a short walk to shops, restaurants and other facilities.

Great hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Clean tidy spacious rooms. Great amenities pool and pool area, bars and restaurant. Spa services and staff also very good and great value. Great location for walking, beach, shopping and dining. Spacious rooms, well appointed, very clean, tidy and well serviced. All areas of the hotel, from the reception all the way through the rooms to the pool and restaurant areas were very clean tidy and well maintained. All staff were very helpful, friendly, happy and pleasant. All wanting to attend to your needs with a smile. Fantastic location for walking, there is a walk way at the back of the hotel on the beach front where there are little bars and cafes the walk can take you all the way into Kuta on flat ground. Hotel located right on the beach front and only a short walk to the main shopping area. Plenty of shops, stalls, places to eat. Plenty of taxis and tour facilities available. Plenty of taxis passing you in the street. Never short of a lift if you needed one.

This was our first stay at the Pelangi Hotel in Seminyak. The location was great. It has back beach exit which also leads to a few great restaurants. Walk to the left upon exiting, walk about 10 min. The Zanzibar was excellent. The shopping nearby was also great. A variety of Boutique style stores with fixed prices, although if you ask they may still give a discount, as well as many smaller stalls where bartering is the go. The Hotel also offers free shuttle bus transport 4 times a day to Kuta. If you wish to go further just catch a "Bluebird Taxi" from Kuta to your destination. We also had our own driver "Charlie" who took us to see Kintimanie Volcano, Balinese Dance, Ubud Markets, Ubud Temple & Batk & Silver Factories (where you can buy locally crafted goods). All in all a very enjoyable holiday with fantastic service, great location, walking access to Legian and Kuta and very friendly and genuine staff. Highly recommended.

Wasn't expecting much from this hotel as only really booked it for its beach front location(which was great by the way).Rooms were a bit grim, my daughter had an invasion of bed bugs and ants, not nice. They did change her room without a problem, but no apology in fact they didn't see what all the fuss was about!Food and facilities OK but you are paying for location.

The hotel is a bit old and especially the rooms need an quick update! Towels and bed linen used to be white; now more grey and a bit unpleasant; the breakfast was very poor, only asian food selection was ok, but for example there was really nothing to put on your toast ( only butter or jam..)....no cheese,cold cuts, or not even the greens! Not everyone likes to eat Nasi Goreng in the morning!! The location was the only good thing about this hotel;right on the beach!

Excellent pool and great access to beach for walks etc. This hotel was a really nice way to end our trip - a little luxury. I am not sure how good it would be for families with children, it had more of an 'adults' vibe to me. Drinks were expensive.

The Pelangi hotel is great value for your aussie dollar. The room was great, balcony very small - one person only. The food available was very poor, but eating out is a must in Bali. The room was perfect and good size, the pool is great but space is limited around the pool area and not enough sun beds to accomodate everyone. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. From the front of the hotel the beach is great and a 400 metre walk left will get you to double six road. Really enjoyed our stay

Great location! The restaurant location, with ocean view was wonderful! The upstairs terrace is beautiful at night! The pool was great and the staff were so friendly, and would do anything for you! The pool area was clean and well maintained! If you like to sit outside of your room, I would pick the second floor, as the have nice balconies. The main floor really has no where to sit, it does have sliding door into the garden, but it is just a walkway with some grass. We found that the prices in the hotel were very expensive and all you had to do was to leave the hotel and walk around the corner and get a massage or laundry service for much , much less than the hotel. We also went out side for the tours, as they have a group across the street that book at 1/2 the price. Of course it would be you, or your group in a taxi, rather than a bus. Kanti was wonderful and took us so many places. Alot of nightclubs and restaurants along the main road, but we preferred d the nice ones in Kuta, or ones with a beach view. Generally it was a lovely property, and the service was grest

What a fabulous hotel! The pool was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the staff were so kind and friendly, and the beach was literally a step out of the hotel. The front desk staff are honest and trustworthy, and they can and will arrange anything you need.Breakfast buffet was great, a mix of western and Indonesian foods, and the swim up bar in the pool was fantastic.Far enough away from Kuta to avoid noisy young kids being drunk and rowdy, but close enough to walk along the beach to Kuta in about 30 mins. Cheap to get to and from Kuta by meter taxi, but the hotel also has a free shuttle to Kuta 4 times a day. A nice quiet location.If i ever go back to Bali, this is where i'll stay, no question.

The Pelangi is a lovely hotel - close to the beach and other hotels, as well as within walking distance to Seminyak. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. My suggestion would be to have more umbrellas for lying by the pool - which is what I often did on my holiday!
