Construction site right next to our room took 2 days for us to be moved. Drinks at the pool bar took over 45 mins to be served and then we waited a further half hour for change before we left and had them deliver it to our room. It was the one and only time we went for drinks at that bar. I found this hotel to be over priced. Location is ok but I would not stay here again

Hotel was over priced service. Not so good, waited 40 mins for a drink at pool side bar and change had to be delivered to room half hour later. Only ate breakfast once, cost $15 each and was cold. Old first room had construction site next door. Ugly & noisy. They work day & night. Asked to be moved next day. Next room had construction in room next door so also noisy & bathroom floor flooded after every shower due to leaky pipe. Was a superior room. 3rd floor staff were nice enough. Would not stay again though.

I travelled with a sizeable group of friends and we all stayed at the Mercure. The hotel is in a great location opposite the beach and walking distance to the hub of Kuta Square and Poppies Lanes. Upon arrival, we were all given our respective rooms promptly and efficiently. The rooms were well kept, clean and quiet. The highlight of the hotel was the infinity pool on the 4th floor that overlooked the beach and the Bali style cabanas where we all congregated in the evenings. Our accommodation did not come with breakfast but we chose on a number of days to try the buffet breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast had a selection of Western and Asian foods that were varied and tasty although it came at a cost of $8 Aus each time. We all had a good stay at the Mercure and would book with them again. The price was very reasonable and the staff were helpful and pleasant. Perfect for our group stay.

Great location. Awesome view from the pool, alot smaller than we expected, and no swim up pool bar, but the wet edge and view over looking the ocean made up for it! The staff were friendly and accomodating. The rooms were very small in comparison to other bali hotels we have stayed at and didn't have the big king size bed we are used to in Bali...but it simply wouldn't have fit. Overall a pleasant stay.

What I liked most is the free upgrade on the first nite, from a standard rm to a ocean view deluxe. Coz they apparently ran out of standard rms, i loved the upgrade so much i paid for an additional 3 nites of upgrades at only 40 US per nite

Before checking in to this hotel, I didn’t have very high expectations regarding the quality of our Deluxe Ocean View room, even so, I was disappointed. The room itself was very small, with about 1 meter of clearance around 3 sides of the bed, making the room very squeezy. There were no chairs or drawers or anywhere for me to do my hair with a hair styler as there was only a shaver powerpoint in the bathroom, where the mirror is. The room was also poorly lit. The balconies were all connected and if I felt like it, I could go back and forth the row of balconies on our floor, leaving no privacy. Also, the infinity pool, was only open during daylight, no late night swimming is allowed. The staff were OK, but nothing to brag about, and the breakfast was average. This hotel isn’t all bad though. The location was excellent, right across the road from main part of Kuta beach, and all the shops weren’t far away at all. The lobby/courtyard of this hotel is beautiful with a large koi pond, water feature and of course, lots of trees and shrubs. The security staff also run metal detectors over your bags when you enter, which makes you feel a little more safe. The room was fitted with a safe and had very effective a/c . Overall I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. We paid U$119 per night and I think I can find much better hotel in Bali for the price range but if you want to go to the beach everyday, this hotel is probably for you.

During my check-in , the lady in the reception is friendly & polite. Its the opposite when night before my check out , I went to reception counter to settle my bills so I won't have to rush the next morning, the counter reception was male staff, He is snobbish and impolite, he don't answer very well to some of my question.

Bali's most famous beach surrounded by dining, entertainment and shopping.The Room: Great! The ocean view room was right in front of the beach! The room is clean. The bed is comfortable. The fridge was cold enough (most hotels' fridge are normally useless). 2 bottles of mineral water refilled everyday without charges.The Breakfast:Great! Love the crepe and omelette the best! The bacons were good too!The Staff:Great! Stops their work and greets you with a smile no matter how busy they are. That really make my day especially when I am there for a relaxing holiday.The Service:Great! It was raining heavily, the rain soaked in through the balcony into our room. Called for service and 2 towels were used to block the balcony door immediately. After the room was made up, it was blocked with 4 nicely folded towels. Called for help on the in-room safe as it was locked by the previous guest. Staff came to our room, resets the safe and make sure that I give it a try so that it really work before leaving. Very attentive and sensitive, when I was punching my code in, she leaves the room and wait outside.I would highly recommend anyone going to Bali to stay in this hotel. Get the Ocean View Room. It's really GREAT!

I like the view of the sea from the swimming pool. It is like we are out in the natural looking at the sky and the sea.I was expecting more water activities for the kids such as slides and etc and i think the pool is designed more for the adults. It will be nice if the pool is more children friendly.

Swimming poor is not big enough, not much variaties for buffet breakfast, trainee should be under supervision of senior staff (eg. sunny side-up looking like fried eggs), king/queen size bed should be a real king/queen size bed instead of joining of two single bed!

Hotel is on main beach front road & subject to noisy traffic & loud motor cycles if you say in beach view room at front. It appears to be the meeting venue of the local Harley group early in the mornings, very annoying if you are trying to sleep past 8am.If you want variety at breakfast, forget it - same every day and if you like bacon get there early as once the container is empty it is not refilled. Staff very friendly and curteous. Rooms very much on small size but well cleaned. Roof view over beach is spectactular - maybe that's what you are paying for because it is certainly over priced for what you get. Very close to shops & entertainment. Short walk up the beach road are many good restaruants. Heavily populated by young surfer crowd. Rate this hotel as average. Although to be fair, Kuta is not in the same league as Nusa Dua for quality in all aspects. Mainly for younger, inexperienced travellers it is adequate.

Location was perfect if you are in the mood for an exciting holiday. Stayed there 4 nights. When i arrived they offered an upgrade to a suite...probably due to over booking of Ocean View rooms....after seeing the suite, i decided to pay the extra 3 nights for the upgrade. Approximately 50 US dollars more a night. For a suite, the room was just right...meaning the standard rooms was probably a tad too small. Overall, the staff was friendly and went out of their way to fulfill all my request. I will stay at the Mecure Kuta when i return some day.

My room was the deluxe ocean view. I was surprised that it was smaller than what i had in mind. We were on the 2nd floor, we hardly could see the ocean. The bathroom was separated away from the 'main' bedroom area by two big steps. We requested to be transfered to another room because i had my 1.5 year old daughter with us and was worried that she might have a fall. But we were told that all rooms of the same standard were occupied. I think the rooms need to be refurbished. The kettle and the adapter were faulty and we had to ask for replacements. Nevertheless the staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was the quickest we had experienced than anywhere else

The Hotel was well located just across the road from the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff and service was excellent and they made us feel welcome on arrival. Every one of the staff we came into contact with daily greeted us with a smile and a bow even down to the pool attendant handing out towels. (He placed a flower inbetween the towels to make them look more atractive) The buffet breakfast was excellent and had a wide choice on offer to apeal to all tastes and nationalities. This was a the first time that my husband and I had been away together without the children and it was a Hotel I would recomend for couples and deffinately go back to. We normally holiday in Florida, but this was a much more laid back romantic setting, made more special by the staff and general atmosphere of the Hotel. The Hotel pool on the top floor was a real wow and a suprise when we saw its location. It is an infinity pool and looks directly over Kuta beach.

The hotel was conveniently located and easily accessible to shops and restaurants. The only downside for this hotel was the room itself.The shower facility (bathtub) was quite dangerous and one had to climb into the bathtub from an angle and i can easily slip and fall if not very careful. The water from the bathtub also overflows into the floor area. In my opinion, the showroom/bathroom was very badly designed. The breakfast was also quite bad with very little choices. Good points: - security was very good - staff were very friendly - location was very good.

Good decor, nice veiws in Deluxe rooms. Reception staff are excellent. Very efficient and courteous. Also staff in the breakfast restaurant are particularly good. Pool area is great. On the beach, good access to entertainment and rstaurants.
