We were initially shocked because the jungle which we had expected to be lush and green was instead arid and brown. We had not realized that we had booked our reservations towards the end of the dry season, and it is not until the wet season that things become green once again. We were initially shocked because the jungle which we had expected to be lush and green was instead arid and brown. We had not realized that we had booked our reservations towards the end of the dry season, and it is not until the wet season that things become green once again. Our adjustment was rapid following being so warmly welcomed and attended to by the staff. The resort provides a wonderful safari like bus to transfer you from one location on the resort to another. We also had no idea how expansive the area was, so this was a surprise. We most enjoyed our romantic dinner on the beach, and the diving on the island and short boat ride away. The diving was really spectacular and well worth it. The resort is somewhat remote and there is no shopping or village near by, but if you want to get away from it all and enjoy nature then this is the place.
