I, together with my friend stayed in Maya Ubud for 4 nights. It was quite a pleasant stay since the staff greeted us friendly and the scenery in the hotel is very beautiful, especially it nears to a river, so we caught some riverside views. But, everything comes in two ways. The hotel is a bit far away from Ubud center, though the shuttle bus is provided per hour from 9am to 5pm, since there is no lights on the road in the night time, you need to prepare some good torchlights or pay for the hotel's car service. Another thing is that the smell of the room is a bit strange, maybe due to the huge humidity of the weather, a smell of mould sometimes existed, or maybe it's my illusion. And lastly, the quality and cleaness of the bedding can be improved. That's all. In a word, it's still a nice place to stay in.

A very nice resort, full of greenery. There are 2 adult swimming pools but the one near the spa is better as it has excellent view of the river and the valley. Food is expensive and with not a wide choice. The breakfast spread is rather limited but the resort offers tea. It is rather near to Ubud centre which is within walking distance. Overall, it is a very nice and relaxing place to spend time with your partner. The staff members are very friendly and helpful.And the location of the spa centre is ideal, overlooking the river. We booked the gardenview chalet which is nice and cosy and rather big. We would not mind returning to the resort some time in future.

The Maya Ubud was a beautiful place to stay. The setting was breathtaking, especially the walk to the spa and along the river. We stayed in a Garden Villa with no pool which was fine as the common pool was beautiful and as we had a 2 year old, he played mostly in the children's pool. Be prepared to pay for every single thing however. We needed some antiseptic lotion for a cut and was charged for this despite my thoughts that this should be provided as basic first aid. The restaurant food was great, especially the buffets, but of course expensive by Bali standards. We used one of their drivers who was a great guide and took us to a shadow puppet play in Ubud, the water temple and the Elephant Park. On departure, my son left a toy behind which we asked to be posted to Australia. After many emails back and forth, they finally sent it free of charge after initially wanting to charge us approx $28 for postage, which I thought exorbitant for a small light item (a small stuffed monkey). But I did appreciate their final act as a 5 star hotel (even though I had to explain to them that this kind of service was expected). Overall, if you come to terms early with the rate and prices in the hotel, you're very likely to enjoy your stay as we did.

Good hotel for people who like exotic and nature. I was a little afraid of some insects who can come at night to room. And all food is just asian traditional. In the end of third day i was dreaming about smth like Mcdonalds:). But generally hotel is good.

i had my honeymoon trip at Maya Ubud. The staff and environment are great. The staff talk to you politely and even have joke with you to make you feel at home. They always smiles. The room was decorated nicely and there was this honeymoon cake for us as well upon arrival in the room. They also prepare a flower bath for us. Accessing to Ubud Market is easy with the free shuttle Van. This is the place for honeymoon couple.
