This was our third stay at La Taverna.We have yet to find anywhere as quiet and peaceful, so convenient for tourist needs, and yet so retentive of a feel of 'Bali' in any of our other tourist experiences on this island.La Taverna has its quirkiness and datedness that some would feel were faults by normal Western standards, but this is neither a resort hotel nor a chain hotel. The staff in our view are welcoming and genuinely happy to be part of your stay. This was our third stay at La Taverna.We have yet to find anywhere as quiet and peaceful, so convenient for tourist needs, and yet so retentive of a feel of 'Bali' in any of our other tourist experiences on this island.La Taverna has its quirkiness and datedness that some would feel were faults by normal Western standards, but this is neither a resort hotel nor a chain hotel. The hotel food was good , well prepared, and always served with a smile.
Disabled access is improving each yer we have returned, and Sanur itself is just one long street lacking the aggresive hawkers of places such as Kuta.
La Taverna is for those who like an element of serenity, quaintness, and a feel of actually being in Bali, rather than in an hotel anywhere in the world .It is 3 star, not a galaxy.
