Kubu bali is a beautiful resort. Our bungalow was set on the side of the hill and the view was beautiful. Our room: the bed cover had a stain on it but as soon as I told them. it got changed immediately. The bathroom could use some improvements. Was a dead lizard in it when we checked in. The grounds are gorgeous. Many ponds with Koi and gardener looks after it well. Staff are so nice and helpful. Food: was probably the worst food I've had in Indonesia I'm afraid. It was bland. Banana pancake was under cooked. We ate across the street at a really good restaurant. It think it was called Talong?

Great location,friendly staff, absolutely beautiful grounds - photo opportunities everywhere! I would not recommend staying here for anyone who has trouble with stairs as we had over 90 very steep stairs to get to our bungalow, but it was worth it for the amazing view! Outdoor bathroom which was great. for those with children, there is no TV, DVD etc which did not bother us as by the time we had climbed the stairs to our bungalow we were happy to spend the afternoon lazing in the beautiful pool (complete with ocean views). If you like monkeys, sit on your verandah with some food and they will be sure to visit (don't be scared, they are more frightened of you). I would very happily stay there again as Candidasa is such a quiet, beautiful village to explore, while you are there, try the restaurant directly across the road to Kubu bali Bungalows - great food and what a view! Breakfast was beautiful, it is served overlooking the pool and has lovely ocean views. We tried the restaurant once but were disappointed in the food. This was not a problem as there are so many great restaraunts within walking distance and it is nice to share your money around as Candidasa is so quiet. Walking to distance to all shops and restaurants. Beach directly across the road. People are waiting at the entrance to offer you transport which you can haggle for a cheap price. Drivers there will be available for a 5 minute ride up to a full day. The main road in Candidasa is quite noisy but Kubu Bali is set back off the road so it is very peaceful. The noisiest thing you will hear is the water trickiling in the gorgeous water features. I would recommend this hotel to people wanting to get away for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of the Kuta/Legian areas.

Nice hotel overall with beautifull surrounding overlooking the sea. The bungalow roof is made from thatches and there are plenty of dust mites on the roofs. We constantly had problem with the room being dirty due to all grainy dust coming down from the ceiling.

A nice location and the gardens are spectacular, the rooms are a good size and well maintained, just a couple of niggles, some of the staff in the resturant were the rudest we have encountered in Bali and they put us off using the resurant -this is not a problem as there are so many nice plces to eat nearby. Overall a nice place but not quite up to the mark of last year, the management seem a little slack and with so much competition will have to look out.

Delightful location, away from the main road in beautiful terraced gardens. The staff were so friendly and the service was impecable. If we return to Bali we would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.
