This hotel is beautiful! We stayed 3 nights in a pool villa for our honeymoon and we honestly couldn't have wished for anything more. The staff were so friendly taking the time to learn your names, always saying hello and going out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The room was gorgeous with a huge bed and a sink down bath filled with rose petals, and our private pool was big enough to have a swim and a play in. It was in a great location, near lots of restaurants and shops and just a short walk to the monkey forest. A perfect 4 days that we will remember always, thanks Komaneka!

Friendly staff, beautiful room as I was upgraded to pool villa. Not too far to walk to main road maybe 10-15 min and hotel is on monkey forest road which has lots of shops also. Need more pool lounges as people reserve in advance and no where to sit but really enjoyed it.

We especially loved that you could walk out the front of the hotel and you were surrounded by great resturants and shops. You could easily walk to all major places in central Ubud. My wife and I stayed at Komaneka Monkey Forest in Ubud for a week in late Mar 2010. We cannot recommend Komaneka Monkey Forest enough. The location is fantastic (set back off the main road in Ubud - very quite, with paddy fields around the hotel, yet centrally located), the grounds are small but well maintained, the staff are very professional.We also stayed our last night at Komaneka Bisma. This is new to the hotel chain and they offered a special upgrade as a promotion. The Bisma hotel is newer and 'sharper' than the Monkey forest hotel - the main disadvantage is the location. Bisma is 'in Ubud' technically but it is a bit of a walk to get to the main town. Having said that - if 'walk out' is not an issue for you - then Bisma does have newer and better facilities - pool and spa etc. My wife and I really liked both hotels - but for us Monkey forest was the most special - a quite oasis in the centre of this small town. We highly recommend this hotel (and hotel chain) to discerning travelers.

Very friendly staff (Balinese are always friendly, but Komaneka staff were exceptional), location excellent (walking distance to a number of excellent restaurants), nice touches like free afternoon tea each day made guests feel special. Breakfast exceptionally high quality food and service. Would definitely stay there again, and would like to try the two newer Komaneka properties in the future.

Loved the nice spacious room, comfortable canopy bed and the indoor/outdoor bathroom with the unique shower and sunken in tub. Also loved the fact that they brought fresh flower petals for the bath each day. Location could be better!

A wonderful small hotel, true Balinese style, family run, but very sophisticated. The entire staff, all 16 of them, will do anything to accomodate a guest's needs. Wonderful pool, and located in the heart of Ubud. We could not imagine staying anywhere else. Highly recommend.

The Komaneka was one of the loveliest hotels we have stayed at. It is small so there are not a lot of other people there which keeps it quiet and intimate. The location is in the center of Ubud with plenty of restaurants and shops near by. We enjoyed having a light breakfast of yogurt, fruit, toast or croissants with coffee or tea in the morning. They also had an afternoon tea that had light hordeurvers that held you over until a late dinner. After spending a day out it was always so great to come back to the serenity of the hotel and our air conditioned room. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to splurge and pamper yourself.

The Komaneka is situated in the middle of Jalan Monkey Forest, therefore you are directly in a shopping area and you can join the market and the town centre by foot. When you enter the Komaneka resort you suddenly forget about the noise in the street and you discover a very nice garden and very tastefully arranged rooms with a lot of space and a agreable terrasse. The swimming pool area is also very nice. The service of this hotel is extraordinary! Everybody was very friendly with us and our 1-year-old son. We felt like at home! The hotel restaurant was fine, they offered a good range of different food and at a very reasonable price!!! We also enjoyed the Spa facilities, another plus! I really relaxed during the 3 days we spent in Komaneka and if I go back to Bali I would choose this hotel again! (but I would bring my own baby cot, their cot was a little bit small for my son...)
