The Grand Mirage, Bali rising like a vision from the sea, is a refined, refreshing, comfortable resort. Ideal for the water sports fan, you'll find everything from canoeing to wind surfing, jet skiing and para-sailing on offer here. The clear water and the nearby reefs, provide good snorkelling and diving opportunities. Soak up the sun on the golden beach and play volley ball, frisbee or football, as the sun goes down. Nestled amid cozy tropical landscaped gardens, the resort is a perfect blend of modern facilities and classical Balinese atmosphere and is home to a unique free-shaped swimming pool beside the impressive white sand beach, in front of the hotel. A family orientated resort, with outstanding business facilities thrown in for good measure, it's 5 star facilities will do more than impress...they'll leave memories to last you a lifetime. The Hotel location in Tanjong Benoa is great for doing water sport. The deluxe room wasn't like I expected, it was different from what they show on their website.

My wife and I are impressed by the friendliness and courteous service of the staff. The hotel layiout is well planned and nicely landscaped. Facilities in the room are adequate, though the mattresses are not so even. Overall, we have had a nice stay at the hotel.

The best we experienced is the professional and very freindly staff with a very high level of service. The garden area and the beach are fantastic as well as the organized dinners with dance shows and company events, and private celebrations.
The rooms a bit used, but OK. We enjoyed really staying in the Hotel

We also like the carpet in the elevator which shows the different days of the week!I noticed it was Sunday on one occasion but the carpet still showed "Saturday" Ha Ha. that's ok.
We hope the renovation works in those rooms are completed before our next visit.
Just a note, our "Romantic" room's balcony door was faulty, this is a safety concern that's all.
Lastly, keep up the good work everybody and good luck to all.

Location and view are excellent. Service is good too. Price is good for a 5-star hotel. The only thing is that the breakfast is a little boring with not big selection.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and always feel like we have come home. It is one of the best kept secrets in Bali, nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. The rooms are in the process of being refurbished as they are a bit tired. We never want to leave the friendly staff and the beautiful local people.

This is our second visit to this hotel. The mattress was terrible, even though they did change it. The rooms need some upgrade, but I do realise that this is costly. I would recommend the hotel, because of the staff - especially the staff at breakfast (nothing is a problem). We booked through hoteltravel, for the full period of our stay 10days, but had to leave 2 days earlier for emergancy - management was not very helpful re refund or moving the 2 days - so we lost the full amount for the last 2 days.

Grand Mirage is the only five star beachfront hotel in Nusa Dua area that offers a really nice seaview room for less than USD 80!! Trully a value for money. And it includes breakfast too! The quality of the breakfast buffet itself is a good enough reason for us to come back and stay there again. And we love the beach, very nice, clean, and not crowded like Kuta area.

Food was horrid. Seafood was not fresh and restaurants were infested with HUGE houseflies which wouldn't go away no matter how you swat. old and tired hotel. Smiles and greeting from staff were hard to come by. Hotel would not accord a later check out time even though hotel occupancy was not even half full.

The beach was dirty and water unfit for swimming. The pool water was also the color and consistency of used bathwater. The staff were undertrained and not overly friendly (not very BALI). The kids club was very average and our kids were not impressed (a vacation first) and did not want to go by day 2. 1/2 the hotel rooms which face the sea also face the bar - which plays loud music until 11:00 - not a good family thing. Not bad value - but would not recommended for travellers with small children.

This is an "All inclusive" hotel and I didn't know that until I arrived. I didn't read the small print on the website. I enjoyed everything except the crowded breakfast and doding the tons of children in the pool even at the bar! I ate dinners out as there was only one restaurant and it was always crowded and the 24 hour restuarant in the lower level had no ambiance.and as with the rest of the hotel, it was always hot as everything is open-aired. The only safe cool haven was your room. You couldn't swim in the beach because of the seaweed and the tide was always in or out with no waves or surf so it was disappointing. I managed several tours away to cool off and snorked at a nearly island so that was the highlight but expensive. I ate dinner at the previously known Hilton and managed to stay cool in one of their AC restuarants. I will not stay again at this hotel but it is probably good for families.

The hotel has a large pool, sufficient chairs on the beach and is less crowded than Kuta. Room is spacious but the facilities inside were just meeting the basic requirements for a 5-star. Grand Cafe (place for breakfast) needs improvement as it seemed that there were too many guests or the cafe is lacking staff. One of the reasons may be that the hotel is taking guests from traveling tours. Overall, service quality is just so-so. I would rate it a barely 4-star.

This was our first time in Bali and we booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at the Grand Mirage Resort, Bali. It was apparent that there were no bell boys waiting as our car pulled in at the front entrance. In fact, we had to get out of the car and hail for one who was standing at the concierge table. We had huge suitcases of luggage that was difficult to carry up the steep staircase leading to the reception.
The reception was polite and cordial, typical of Balinese culture, but lacked that extra bit of warmth that we had received while we were staying at another hotel in Legian 2 days earlier. At this point however, we had yet to experience our subsequent surprise with the hotel staff.... read on.
Once we had completed our check-in, the earlier bell boy then led us with the rooms together with a huge trolley bearing our luggage. Although the lift we entered to get us to the 4th floor was below expectations, our anticipation to get to our rooms overcame our disappointment with the lift.
The rooms were pleasant, large and cozy, even though the furniture used was rather aged. Nevertheless, they were still in good working condition and clean, essential criteria for a comfortable stay at any hotel. There was also a huge bathtub that was separate from the shower stall. A good place to enjoy a warm bubble bath! Also, a wooden screen window that could be drawn and shut is located right above the bath tub. Here comes our surprise…
Being foreigners, we were still rather confused with the

Surprisingly, superior room is very nice. Room is serviced at least 2 times a day! :) Location itself is a big problem, 20mins drive to Kuta. But of course, u should enjoy ur's day with Grand Mirage if you choose to stay at Nusa Dua Beach. Water Sport just 2mins away, try the only water sport served in Bali - Sky Fish!

Excellent value for money! Me and my girlfriend stayed at The Grand Mirage for 9 nights from 23/2 to 4/3 in 2006. We had a Deluxe seaview room which also overlooked part of the swimmingpool area. The room was spacious and nice, but maybe felt a little bit "tired". The AC in the room only had one setting...freezing! Fine by me, not fine by my girlfriend. Try to imagine the face of the hotellstaff when the sweating swede comes down asking for an extra blanket in 30+ degrees centigrade! However, any small complaints we may have had about the room is easy to forget in view of all excellent things with this hotel! Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good food in restaurants (somewhat pricey though...), good restaurants just outside hotel area, nice beach. We paid 70$ for our oceanview room and absolutely recommend it to anyone going to Bali!
