We stayed only 1 night in pool villa after mutiple nights in regular room. I am amature photographer who travels with camera lights, wardrobe and willing girlfriend. This room with canopy bed and pool area provided teriffic background for some excellent photos. There are 3 pool villa rooms. I would suggest middle or farthest from community pool for even more privacy. ...

Don't believe any calls telling you that you won a prize. It's a time-share scam disguised as a 'Promote Bali' lucky draw. I suspect the Hotel staff has given (my) names to these otherwise cold-callers..

we loved the room especially the view from the third floor. We were concerned that elderly people would have difficulty going up and down the stairs. Also we originally booked our room on the internet to accommodate both of us and our 9 year old daughter, but found she had not been accounted for when we arrived which caused a few problems. I found the bed hard and uncomfortable, on the other hand my partner didn't. Otherwise the friendliness and accomodating manner of the staff at the hotel made it a pleasure to stay there.

The stay was very pleasant, very friendly staff. We stayed two more nights because we had a very good time in the hotel. When my wife had her birthday in the Hotel, she was surprised with a large cake a bithdaysongs by the staff! The hotel is situated close to the beach, so you can relax near the pool and have sea-view. It is not close to the village of Seminyak, that makes it quiet and out of city-noises. Breakfast is a complete buffet, with much choice in western and Asian food. The room was well done and had a modern bathroom. Airconditioning was OK. This hotel is highly recommended!

I was quite disappointed as i did not know they were renovating! When we arrived late in the night, it was raining and the hotel was in darkeness, there was not much help with umbrellas etc. We had to walk up in the dark quite a lot of steps, not good at all. i felt it was quite difficult. hotel gardens and pool are quite beautiful, but the beach is just black sand. this hotel is fine for the person who does not like to walk to anything, as there was nowhere to walk too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A long way to kuta. staff are pleasant, menu is limited. They opened the new restaurant for new years, the decor was lovely but the compulsory dinner we paid for was not value. For the money we paid it was fine, but rather pay more and stay at Nusa Dua

Nice quiet location which means you will need a taxi to go anywhere. Beach not very attractive but nice gardens. Main complaint is that there is no shade provided for the sunbeds so you either burn or leave. Stayed in garden suite and room very large and pleasant though would have been nice to have had chaits in the garden. Staff very friendly. Good choice if you want somewhere quiet. It is about 5 minutes by taxi from Seminyak and providing you don't burn easily. I,m still peeling! Bar did not stock vodka much to my wife's disgust!

Liked most is breakfast morning in front of beach of seminyak (with facing of sunset) - the coffe shop. Didn't use the pool as the pool didn't look inviting enough for me - old pool. Water looks reasonably clean though. Location may be a bit far from Kuta & Legain activities, but rooms are clean, optimally sized for standard room and tastefully decorated with balcony overlooking garden. Toilet shower and bath facilities are both conveniently provided. Staff are very nice typical balinese hospitality. Must have a good transport when stay at this hotel. taxis are only a call away.

We loved our holiday there. The staff is so nice and always smiling! Our only complaint was the breakfast spread, very limited options. The beach was also not suitable for swimming, very strong currents... everything else was great.

The hotel is situated at a quite and remote area. The hotel free transport will take you to Kuta central busy area. I love the hotel ground, on the beach, peaceful and quite. The room is very clean and nice especially the big bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The breakfast is plenty to enjoy. Excellent value for money. I will go there again for sure.

For the price of the room received it is a steal (nice bathroom). The hotel is tucked away from Kuta & Seminyak so you will need a taxi to get out/back to the hotel. Shuttle is only provided one- way and the food for breakfast has no variety so if you are staying here for awhile be prepared! Staff friendliness is not consistent. Overall a good hotel for the price.

I stayed in deluxe room with one night stay in pool villa. Not too much to add to what has already been said except that my concern over being so isolated was solved by renting motorbike. This was excellent solution to have best of both worlds. Seminyak, Legian and Kuta all short ride away and easy to find. I rented through hotel at 60,000/ day and assume that I could find cheaper had I shopped for rate in town but they brought bike to me and picked up when I left which was especially convenient on check out day. Also the waves here can get big but I was able to swim joyfully a couple of times without too much concern. On last night we stayed in Pool Villa and my girlfriend said it was like living in a house, not a hotel room. Overall I would definetly return. If not I would miss the late evening rides through rice fields returning to hotel with my girl hanging tightly to me!

Excellent rooms considered the price. It is good to go there if you are on family trip. Their policy to receive guests is extremely restricting and disapointing, so this hotel not a place to bring your girlfriend.

It is a very nice hotel! Very quiet and peaceful. The swimming-pool is perfect and the hotel is on the beach. However we can not swim as the waves and the current are too big. The staff is very friendly. The food is not very good and expensive. You can find much better outside the hotel. It is a little bite far from the main sites but you can easily find transportation. The value for money is excellent. I recommend this hotel for those looking for a very quiet place to rest.

Wonderful hidden gem, with lovely staff, great service, good and affordable food. The rooms are nice and spacious, and the pool is delightful. Great king-size bed and nice bathroom made of stone. Especially loved the fresh fruit juices available from the pool bar! Don't be put off by this - it's just not in the middle of Kuta beach, which is probably a good thing...Good food, both the complimentary breakfast, the dinner in the evening and the food served through room service. Got a fantastic deal, prices might go up though as tourists start returning in large numbers to Bali.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The pool was lovely and it was a great location right on the beach. It was very quiet. The gardens and lily ponds were very pretty.

This is a beautiful hotel in a peaceful location just outside Seminyak, with fabulous landscaping - lily ponds, fountains and gardens. Photos on the net don't do it justice. The only problems are the dangerous riptides in the sea.

The main drawback of the Grand Balisani is its location in Batubelig. It is inconveniently located about 20 minutes away from all of the restaurants and shops that make this part of Bali a tourist delight. The facilities are adequate but not anything special compared to other small Balinese style hotels. The beach is a surf beach and not really suitable for swimming or sunbathing. One can get a comparable hotel more convenient to the amenities for the same price or a little less.
